We had a deeply disappointing experience at this restaurant, especially given the occasion—we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. What should have been a special evening turned into a frustrating and sad one due to the staff’s poor handling of our concerns.
We ordered a fish and, before placing the order, specifically asked the waiter about the portion size. He assured us it would be sufficient. Unfortunately, the fish was not only very small but also bland and poorly cooked. It came with a some shredded almonds, which added nothing to the flavor. We were genuinely dissatisfied with both the quality and the portion.
We expressed our concerns to three different staff members, hoping for a constructive response. Instead, they simply shook their heads—no apology, no effort to make things right.
It wasn’t until we decided to leave and were paying and I asked to speak with the manager that he offered a limoncello. Frankly, it was a half-hearted gesture which did nothing to address the issue. Since we were not drinking, he felt there was nothing else he could do.
What stings the most is that this was meant to be a celebration. We ended up leaving early and going elsewhere for dessert, just to salvage...

Our catacomb guide Antonio recommended this place after showing him our original choice, a pizza restaurant (how original) his response was "if you want actual food, go to La Locanda Del Manacone".
The food was fantastic as was the service.
The menu is small, but very focused on typical Neopolitan food. We had a couple of pastas: the cherry tomatoes with artichokes, crispy bacon and parmesan flakes, ziti alla genovese, plus also Parmigiana di melanzane and agnello al forno.
I would also recommend the zeppolini, a dish I got to try as a waiting passing by entertained my curiosity by "accidentally" pushing a few onto our plate.
All were full of flavour and felt like a well presented home cooked meal including the desert, a moist and mouth watering Pastera cake.
This may be one of the only places in Italy I'll be happy to come back to...
Read moreWe stumbled onto this lovely spot today and had a delightful experience. We started with a well-executed and delicate Insalata di Mare (seafood salad) followed by the mixed seafood grill (Tris Grigliata di Pesce), lovely grilled squid, swordfish, and shrimp, and also an Insalata Caprese, made with rich buffalo mozzarella. The service was very cordial and prompt. Our total with a beer, a liter of mineral water, and a half liter of white wine was 58€. Very reasonable and fair we thought.
The decor is very interesting in that have either incorporated already existing decorative elements or brought in very clever features such as the floor pavement that looks exactly like a Neapolitan street.
The energetic young people running the place are thoughtful, enthusiastic, and diligent and we wish them a...
