If you need break while in Naples National Archaeological Museum, there's no more convenient place than the small cafe it offers, the Manncaffé. You can order at the counter and try to find a place to eat with the limited seating available, or sit in the dining room and get full table service. We opted for that, which was more comfortable, but also took longer as only one staff member was attending to all of the tables in the room which were all occupied.
We tried a couple different "timbales" which are variations of fried pasta balls...a few of which offered were vegetarian, but they didn't have them all in stock when we were there.
We had the Timbale Sorrento which had a great lemon flavor to it along with potatoes, along with the Nerano which had zucchini flowers in it (which my wife preferred over the Sorrento.
For drinks I had a Limonata soda which was refereshing (but not the fresh lemonade I thought I was ordering. I need to up my Italian language game.)
My wife had an organic tea.
We appreciated that there were several options for us vegetarians to choose from and were happy to try the timbales which we'd never had before.
The staff in the full service dining room did a decent job but they could have used another server to speed things up for everyone as it was a bit of a slow experience.

As a customer, simple manners - hello, please, and thankyou in whatever language - goes a long way to get polite service in return.
The food was ok, not bad and not the most memorable, but it was tasty enough, and filled us up to keep going for another 4 hours...
Read moreVery rude employees. We bought an popsicle which turned out to be broken in half. We immediately went to one of the staff behind the counter to ask for a replacement. He then pointed on the trash can. Hence, we threw it away and got a new popsicle. Then another employee ask us if we paid and we explained what just happened. The guy behind the cashier said „you come to me“ multiple times. Not clear what his intentions were. I had to grab the ice from the trash can to show him the broken ice. He said that we could have broken it. We said no. He got mad and just told us to go. Very unnecessary to treat your customers like this over a 2€ ice. Horrible attitude by people not suited to work in the...
