Whilst in Napoli for a few days it felt impossible to leave the city without having atleast one pizza. Following a dedicated search, my girlfriend and I struggled to narrow it down to a single spot. Following a conversation with our Airbnb host, we opted to heed his suggestion and try out Starita. We arrived on an unusually rainy November afternoon and were quickly seated inside what was a surprisingly large restaurant. Although I had initially been sure I wanted to try a margherita, our server convinced us that the must have was the namesake Starita. Convinced, we decided to try it out and complemented it with a zucchini pizza bianca. For starters, given the presence of zucchini flowers even in November, we split a single ricotta filled flower. The food arrived quickly, starting with the ricotta on its individual platter. The flower was light and creamy, and a tasty beginning to our meal. Appearance wise, the pizzas looked exactly like the typical neapolitan style we were expecting, with a charred crust and alluring mix of toppings. We opted for the starita first and it was excellent. The dough, more akin to bread than most pizzas I've tried elsewhere, was light, with a charred bitterness that was well complemented by the tomatoes. The tomatoes themselves, typical of the area, were delicious, full of sweetness and only accentuated by basil and a sprinkle of pecorino. Given the quality of the starita, it was hard for any pizza to compare, and the zucchini pizza was tasty, but not quite equivalent. Despite the creamy nature of the pizza it wasn't overly heavy, and once again the quality of the crust was enjoyable. Overall, given the recognition of neapolitan pizza worldwide my expectations were considerably high, and Starita, and it's namesake pizza in particular, definitely met them.

I went here as a recommendation from a Reddit user 📱 The experience here was very good in general, but here are some bad and good things to say if you are considering to try this candidate as a best pizza in Naples 🌁 BAD POINTS 👎 - 💸 1.5€ per person just for sitting is too much, they don't even have a terrace nor serve a piece of bread for the service. That means 3€ if you are 2 person, 6€ if you are 4... just for sitting!! The most expensive service of my trip, just for sitting on a table. - 🥴 Many pizza options just differ in one ingredient. It will take you some time to choose, and then see some of them are different in only one ingredient. GOOD POINTS 👍 - 💨 They have a fast service, from the start to the service. We haven't need to wait to sit, they have a lot of tables. Also, from the point you choose the pizza till it comes to the table, was only 5 minutes or less. - 🍕 Perfect pizza size. Not too big nor small, maybe the border of the pizza is too big depending on your pizza choice. Keeping that in mind and being that said, our pizza choices were great, they were napolitanean and tartufo cheese. I don't recommend taking a starter because it could be too much for eating 🥵 but this is very personal. We were very hungry when we went there, but even that, one pizza was enough to get full 🌝 Compared to "Da Michelle", Starita pizza is different but at the same level. On the other hand, 1.5€ for the "service" (that means, for nothing, because you don't have an option to eat the pizza standing and does not include bread or something) it's something to get fixed. Despite this, Starita deserves the 5 stars of this review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and it's a real candidate for the best pizza in Naples 🇮🇹🍕

Oh boy! This was amazing. When you are in Naples, googling THE BEST pizza in naples, pretty much anywhere you go is a potentially taste crasher. So it's hard to pick the best... However, what makes the taste of the Experience even more enjoyable is also the service + environment • There was a queue of people, I waited 30min for a table for 3 • Once inside, my table was number 5, it was ok but not the best. People constantly passing, but not a problem to me. If you like more privacy, they have more intime and "private" spaces 😉 • They have own Neapolitan beer production (get the malte doppia, the darkest one is amazing!!) + Paulaner. • 2 pizzas + 3 crocche di papate+ 4 BEERS = €55 which I find affordable, but not essencial. (They've got a name so ...) • Negative point😔: My pizza🍕 came with a thread on it, didn't look like a hair, but that's something I advise to always pay attention for specially if your restaurant has a reputation. I still baye it because it's inadmisible waste food. In the end they tried to make a courtesy offering a small portion of angioletti dolci Fried dull with Nutella all over 🌰 *Nothing to complain about the service !* They were all polite, served us very well, charismatic... just compliments Even wearing the masks I could see their smile 🤗

Fantastic pizza! Some of the best we had in Italy! What really blew me away though was the efficiency of the place! It's clearly a really popular restaurant, and instead of going the Sorbillo route of constantly having a massive queue outside, they try to get people in as quickly as possible. We were a bit confused when we arrived, but the idea is you go in and speak to the greeter, they take your name and give you a rough wait time. You then wait outside for your name to be called on the tannoy. We waited less than ten minutes and we were in! Our waiter was lovely and the service was speedy. I highly recommend the fried dough dessert with chocolate and pistachio cream! Service charge isn't included so you add the tip to your own bill and when you pay at the front, the tip is given to your waiter in front of you, which I personally liked. All in all a great experience, check it out if you're in town!

Take away. I sadly had pulled my number after some couple ordered like 10-15 pizzas, so had to wait quite a while, but... I liked the Starita Marinara (tomatoes within tomatoes sauce) more that typical Margarita, and I've ordered both to compare. And it was so tasty that the only photo I took was running on the way to the apartments 😂 the narrow street to wait for the order greets you from time to time with car drivers, crazy motorcyclists, but you already know it if you're reading this from Naples, haha. I wonder what's the insurance and mortality rate is here. And, the pizza is quite small, the other reviewer said it's quite big, I disagree. For the price, that's still awesome, and I ate 1.5 pizzas by myself, whereas one is enough for me.

I just had one pizza there so the review is based on this experience. I had the lemon pizza which is a pizza with slices of lemon on top. It's difficult to judge a pizza as this style may be appreciated by locals or others but we are in a pizzeria that boasts having lots of celebrities at its tables and enjoys a lot of positive reviews so I was expecting to get something a bit less "rustic" than cheese and raw and thick slices of lemon just put on the pizza. It makes the pizza super acidic and slices are too thick to create a nice balance between dough, cheese and lemon. I love super simple food but even simple things sometimes need some minimum balance, especially the acidity level here that covers every other flavors.
