First impression - atmosphere is pleasant, nice Italian music in the background, restaurant looks really authentic with all the decorations and staff is polite. Then, after the starters, 2 ladies come sit next to my husband and me - my guess is they're mother and daughter. A young guy appears and starts staring at them, very unpleasantly. An older guy dressed as a cook, all in white sits at their table and takes their order, the young one sits at the table next to the ladies and watches them for waaay too long...then he starts playing some wild music and starts screaming, the music is too loud and the staff can't hear each other so they start screaming...after the starters, the waitor doesn't bring us new fork and knife, instead he picks up our plates and returns the dirty fork and knife from it to us and puts it on the table. Meanwhile, the young guy is still around those ladies and when he's not, he's walking around and singing, turning the music up and down - killing the atmosphere. The food was mediocre, not worth mentioning. My husband ordered the ragu and other than the ragu, there was one piece of sausage in it...Their local wine was really good though and the guy who served the wine was very polite and professional - we liked him. When we wanted the bill, the waitor told us to pay at the reception but the ladies got their receipt delivered at their table. The guy at the recption was polite, too. The restaurant wants to look serious, the waitors have walkie talkies and special outfits, everything looks nice but the attitude is giving off very low quality. I hope something turns around and they...
Read moreI discovered O' Scemo on the web when looking for nice places to eat in Naples. The reviews were really good so I thought to visit. The food is indeed really tasteful and the people are really nice and extremely friendly. The deco of the restaurant is also nice and you feel like you are in a cozy place to enjoy your dinner. Even the customers react like they all know each other. It was quite an experience for us. It was also my bf's birthday and when I told them they brought the desert with a candle and a firework and all the people were singing in Italian the HBD song. This was a nice surprise and we enjoyed it. Thank you for this!!!! :) However, I would like to note that the music is extremely loud and you cannot even discuss unless you scream. You feel more like you are in a club than in a restaurant. All customers seemed to enjoy that and I got the impression that this is part of the concept but I think it's important for future customers to know that in advance. Therefore, I recommend this place only to those who can stand up to loud music. If they can, they will enjoy amazing food and...
Read moreThe service was very very bad, arrogant, nobody spoke English, nobody could answer my questions about the menu, the food came 2-5 min after ordering so it is impossible to be made so fast, I am 100% sure it was not fresh, they gave us bread which was so hard like a stone i couldn’t even slice it..there were staff everywhere just walking in the restaurant doing absolutely nothing, but without even looking at you, so it took me 10 min to catch their attention and ask for the bill, when I asked for the bill I wanted to ask one more thing and while I was speaking the waiter just turned his back and left. Some of the staff were very loudly speaking with each other, laughing, some of them wore sunglasses inside ( it was dark outside), really the worst service I have ever had. Normally I think 50€ is very cheap to spend at a restaurant but for this one is far to much! Never again,I am getting angry again just writing about this. I forgot to mention the food was not goot at all, I ate just just...
