Portico Pizzeria e Trattoria — Restaurant in Naples

it feels like a tourist trap and we were open to try, which turned out to be our mistake first of all we waited for a table to be free, which is no problem but when it was it was very crowded and felt rush - we were seated for maybe 2 minutes and the waiter came about three times to ask if we were ready to order We took from the antipasti crocchè di patate (it’s only one if you are wondering when you order, which is fine but a bit unclear from the menu) we got the gnocchi, caprese salad and pizza bufalotta with prosciutto I only ordered that pizza because I was rushed by the waiter to get something, and didn’t really take the time to choose because they do have lots of options and I felt like I compromised let’s start with the fact the pizza came first and only the pizza and then about ten minutes later our waiter checked about the other items and then they were brought over The “starter” came last The salad was just cut tomatoes with cheese The gnocchi was with pizza sauce and very cheesy, which was the good part so it was ok overall the pizza wasn’t really that great, the dough was good, but that’s about it and because we waited for all the food to arrive so we could eat together it got cold when I finally ate so it probably had an effect too about the taste Overall the food really isn’t worth it, I’m sure there are much better places where you aren’t rushed to eat and free the table for the next tourist...

It was not a great or even good experience. We ordered entrées, which are served before a meal, but they were not brought out till during our main course. It was meant to be the first thing eaten and making it only would take 3-5 minutes. We waited a long time for our food, at least 45 minutes, so an entrée should have been served during that period. The meal itself was mediocre. The pizza was a pretty soupy, meaning there was a lot of grease. I had to use 4-5 napkins to soak it up before eating the pizza itself. Most of my margarita pizza was bread. Large crust and the cheese layer slipped off before I could eat it. I was pretty disappointed and so were my siblings. Our waiter barely came to our table so I had to go inside to ask for more water and cups because for a family of 5, he brought only 2 cups to drink out of. The staff was not very attentive to our table. The cup with tissue in the picture is the collection of my grease covered napkins. The worst pizza I have.ever eaten. It was undercooked, the dough was gloopy. I asked them to cook it some more and it came back very quickly looking just the same with a pool of liquid over it. I tried to pour the liquid off but it started to fall apart as it was too soggy. I had only mushrooms on the pizza and they were hardly cooked. Maybe this is the local style. The pizza was more like pasta so if you expect past then maybe it will be a novel type of pasta. If you wany good customer service this is not the place to find it. Staff appear to not care. Both waiters were smoking during work. I didn't notice at the start. It just looks uninviting and unprofessuonal. The waiter who sat us down then went into the street to find more customers.
