PastėNa Kitchen & Fresh Pasta — Restaurant in Naples

I live in Naples and decided to try this place that I've tried or heard any of my friends suggesting me because it's a bit hidden, i ordered a carbonara and was expecting something that will blow my mind given that the pasta is fresh, unfortunately i was disappointed, the guanciale was OK, but i know you can get better, seems like there wasn't enough pecorino, taste was kinda MAH... Carbonara is a pasta that kicks, with good and nice anount of black pepper, good quality pecorino romano and crispy guanciale...much of that was missing in that plate. I ate much better carbonaras here with cheaper prices (120 grammi for example 5€, not fresh pasta, yet, an excellent carbonara..) Eventually, the amount could be a bit more, for 9€ in a disposable plate... I hope it was just a bad day, maybe i will try something else...

One of the best pastas I've had in Italy!! We always visit Italy and have had many pastas across many cities and towns here and I can only say we wish we found Pastėna sooner. The pasta is perfectly cooked and fresh and is so flavourful!! You can see them cooking in the kitchen behind and they are really friendly too. Super easy to order and wait time was short. We got takeaway on our last night in Napoli but if we had more time definitely would have come back to eat in. Night time so photos didn't do the dishes justice, they are much more delicious than they look. Really loved their nutty beef dumplings and carbonara was as good as ones we had in Rome. We ordered the Gnocchi, Carbonara, and Nevaro pasta. I have to say, the Nevaro was absolutely excellent no notes there. However, the Carbonara sauce just didn’t hit the mark for me, and the Gnocchi was confusing either undercooked or overcooked, as it had a very rubbery texture.
