I would never, in a million years, have walked into this place without a local recommending it.

The decor looks like a failing sports bar from suburban America in the 90s.

There's people eating steaks on bizarre, elevated metal platters that take up half the table.

I ate here on a recent trip to Naples. The food was delicious and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It offered a very nice change of pace from the pasta and pizza restaurants. Caratteristica cucina casareccia dove si trova quello che purtroppo nelle nostre cucine non si trova spesso. Antipasti a base di tortano, fritturine molto varie dai ciurilli alle pizzette fritte frittatine di maccheroni ed altre varietà. Il re degli antipasti che servono sono le polpette (enormi) cotte nel ragù che sono una vera leccornia . Per i primi fra le tante pietanze consiglio i mezzani alla genovese che sono praticamente un primo ed un secondo perché sotto la pasta ed il sugo ci sono dei bei pezzettoni di carne . Per i secondi ci sono tutte qualità di carne da fare alla brace, se scegli il misto alla brace (2 o più persone) ti portano al tavolo il vassoio di pietra ollare con la carne che ancora sfrigola. Dolci, per me il babà con crema di cassata è eccellente . Il costo rispetta la qualità del cibo. Il personale è molto cordiale e in maniera professionale cerca di accontentare eventuali esigenze particolari. Aggiungo anche l'esperienza del pranzo di Pasqua 2025 che è stata perfetta.
