Trattoria e Pizzeria Morè - la trattoria più romantica di Napoli — Restaurant in Naples

We decided to give this restaurant a try, as the reviews were positive. In our opinion, this place is unacceptable by many ways. The staff behaviour was very poor - when we were ordering our food, the waitress suddenly without saying a word turned to other table, ignored us and started to talk with Italians about their dishes. Believe me, it wasnt anything urgent. The other waitress was cleaning the table next to us and started to put dirty bottles on our table when we were eating… just to help herself out. They also didn’t speak English - and I dont mean poor knowledge of language which is okay - they did not understand anything at all. When we asked if they have any vino alla casa they responded with yes and showed us a full wine card menu with prices 22€+. I do believe it is a basic knowledge for the waitress to know the difference.

We ordered risotto with seafood which had dry shrimps and was drowning in butter. The other dish - spaghetti with seafood was almost unedible as it was salted way too much. And believe me, I am not a picky eater at all - it was horrible, almost as somebody made a mistake and salted it twice. When we pointed it out to the waitress she responded that it is supposed to be salty as the seafood comes from a sea 😅 (just to point out - the risotto saltiness was fully okay).

And at the end they put a higher price on the bill for the pasta - when pointed out, turns out she made a mistake.

We truly cannot find...

I am literally sitting here right now as I typed this. I was seated and after 15 minutes of waiting I had to ask someone if they could take my order. They took my order and the waiter forgot which dish I wanted to go and which dish I wanted to eat here. They bought me a sparkling water but when I asked for the cost, two waiters stood there dumbfounded and had to ask a third. The only reason I didn't leave is because it is across the street from my hotel and I just got to Naples today and am hungry. The food better be good.

Edit. The food was disgusting. The pasta was under cooked. The food in Venice was WAY better. And they didn't get my to go order right. This is the MOST incompetent staff ever. If I could give them zero stars I would. Then they yelled at ME because they didn't understand their menu.

Avoid this place at all costs. Hell find a McDonald's.

Edit again. You see this stupid reply?! How they are even still in business is a mystery.

Sono stata ieri a Napoli con amici e per pranzo abbiamo prenotato in questa trattoria. Quando il cameriere è arrivato per le ordinazioni ci ha comunicato che essendo sabato potevamo scegliere solo alcune portate del menù perché essendo sabato con tanta affluenza non potevano cucinare tutto (alle ore 13 fuori eravamo seduti solo noi e così per almeno 1 ora successiva). Ha insistito per farci prendere 2 primi da dividere tra tutti proponendo lui cosa. In 2 siamo vegetariane e abbiamo fatto presente che noi avremmo voluto solo una portata che andava bene per noi (pasta e patate) ma lui ignorandoci insisteva che avrebbe portato pasta e patate e pasta con crostacei per tutti. Insistiamo sul fatto che siamo vegetariane e non avremmo mangiato la pasta con i crostacei e lui ci propone una parmigiana di melanzane assolutamente vegetariana (senza carne e senza pesce) anche quella ha deciso che ce l'avrebbe portata da dividere per tutti. Ad un certo punto esce con un'astice viva per farla vedere prima di cucinarla. Diciamo che non abbiamo piacere di vederla soprattutto l'altra mia amica vegetariana (oltre che festeggiata per il compleanno) fa presente di non mostrarla e lui le passa di fianco non curante mettendogliela bene in vista. A quel punto mi sarei alzata per la non curanza e rispetto di una richiesta o meglio nessuno a richiesto di vedere. Arriva la parmigiana "vegetariana" e in un boccone trovo della carne (non mangio carne da oltre 10 anni per mia scelta etica). Faccio presente e ovviamente si scusano incolpandosi tra cuoco e cameriere. Si può sbagliare si. Ma a me hanno rovinato mezza giornata, se ho fatto una scelta ho i miei motivi di sensibilità che non deve essere violata per noncuranza. Ma se qualcuno avesse avuto un'intolleranza? Posso accettare un cibo non cotto, cotto troppo, troppo o poco sale ecc.... Ma mettere nel piatto qualcosa che esplicitamente è stato chiesto di non mettere....Non è uno sbaglio accettabile anche se siamo in una trattoria nei quartieri spagnoli di Napoli. Ringrazio per l'offerta del dolce e della bottiglia di vino ma io non ho toccato più cibo né bevande né lì né in altro posto...
