Ristorante Pizzeria il Giglio — Restaurant in Noto

I had the green salad, it was slightly green. However if you are on a budget go to your local supermarket and chop up an iceberg lettuce. 1 ingredient. By the way the tomato salad is just a tomato ( buy it at the supermarket). One of our party noted it does say pizzeria maybe you should stick to that, the pizza was good. We read the reviews too late, and the carbonara IS just scrambled eggs on oily pasta with barely cooked bacon, listen to the reviews !. What a lovely evening. Escaped a cold, windy evening into the warmth of this fine family restaurant. Immediately charmed by young (3 year old?)Thomas who helped his father serve us. We've been in Italy for 4 weeks and everything we love is here in this restaurant/ pizzeria: wonderful food and wine and, most importantly, the uplifting spirit and vitality of the Italian people. The talented choir we'd heard earlier in a nearby church all trooped in and the team swung into action, serving large amounts of food at an impressive pace. Ridiculously inexpensive. Offers pizza for lunch, and extreme tasty pizza at that. Pizza crust is amazing, I had the pizza Diavola with salami today. Pasta is good too for sure here. Friendly enough staff, we had our meal within 5-7 minutes and it wasn't too busy yet at noon. Not too expensive either, and great atmosphere as it feels like this green courtyard adjacent to the main piazza of Noto.
