Mengo's — Restaurant in Olbia

Like so many others on this review thread...

We fancied some fries so asked for a menu and sat down. The waitress took our orders and asked us if we wanted drinks - we declined after seeing the extortionate prices and she took off into the kitchen. The placemats and cutlery were already laid out on our table outside however two minutes later a local couple sat down a few tables away from us, the waitress grabbed the placemats and eating utensils from directly infront of us and laid them on the locals' table! We sat there in utter confusion but then the waitress came over to our table and said we needed to order drinks with our food to eat there! She was very rude about it and even had the nerve to place down coasters assuming we were going to give in. Extremely disappointed,...

HIDDEN FEE (12%) 3€ per person. TINY portions for the price of big portions. 12% fee that is not a tip, if it is not a tip then the employer should pay. It’s definitely a tip but people were not paying so now they found a way to force tips that you cannot even choose how much you tip. First time and last time. What’s next fee for the table, chair, toilet, umbrella. By their policy their salary is just to stand there the customers pay for the service part. At the end the staff was saying this fee is also in USA yeah but over there you pay thousands for an ambulance, so by that stupid logic let’s start paying thousand...

Okay visit. Was looking for something other than Italian cuisine for one night which was delivered on here. Unfortunately, the hamburger was a little bit dry and the cutlet my friends ordered was just a little bit lacking. I ordered a medium rare hamburger but it was very well done, the bread was probably a good bread when freshly baked but this was not.
