Came in looking for table for 2, hadn't made reservation- however, there were many open tables inside and out front. Asked the front staff if any tables were available and she said no, it'd be a 20minute wait. We agreed, planning to wait, and she immediately changes the wait time to 45+ minutes. At this point we ask to order for takeaway and wait for our 2 pizzas. While waiting, we see another couple walk up off the street in the same situation- no reservation, looking for a table, and were immediately sat at a table that had been clear the entire time. We are visiting the town, spoke in Italian, and were polite. Multiple staff were rude, it was an uncomfortable atmosphere. We were a table of 6 and were seated on the only table in a small area before the main restaurant. This turned out to be great because the other room was full of families and rather noisy. Everything we ordered (pasta, pizza and dessert) was delicious. We shared 3 pasta dishes between 6 and this worked well as the portions are on the large side. The wine is good value. The ice cream desserts we ordered were probably bought in but were absolutely fine. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, even calling us a taxi (not easy for 6 people)...
