We did not find the host as welcoming and friendly as the reviews had made it out to be. It appeared that he knew a couple who were in and spent most of his time talking with them rather than attending to any other tables in the restaurant. Meaning we were sitting with empty glasses for a while, looking for another before we were offered.
The platter was nice with local produce however it was unclear if the price was pre person or for the plate as we were charged a lot more than expecting. Either that or the host chose to give us very expensive glasses after we allowed him the free rein of choosing our wines given there is no wine list. Additionally, the host stated that all the wines would be served within the one glass, however, on moving from a white to a red new glasses were brought out. The glassware is also slightly over the top with unusual glasses which can be very large - we thought this was not needed and would have rather enjoyed the delicious local wines in regular sized glasses.
Overall, a nice spot but didn't hit the high expectations set by...
