We are staying in the hill town of Orvieto and wanted a place for dinner that was close by. It’s only a 5 minute drive from our parking spot and I’m glad we drove. It’s not what I’d call “walkable”. It was well worth the short drive! The food was amazing and the service was warm and inviting. We did make reservations (and so did half of the other people eating). They were quick to respond on WhatsApp. The food was wonderful! I had the Umbrichelli pasta with white ragu sauce. It was delicious. My wife had the Tagliatella with black truffle and it was the best we’ve had so far. Dessert was a chocolate mouse with salted caramel and peanut crumble 🤤🤤🤤 Their house wine was also very good and at €15 for a bottle, well worth it. They speak English but we had no issues using our broken Italian. Our server was also kind and helped us with pronunciations 🙂 The view is wonderful. We are inside as the patio wasn’t open just yet but I imagine is a popular place in good weather.

Nada más entrar me reconocieron y me llevaron a mi mesa. 🍝 Los productos con los que trabajan se nota que son locales, cultivados, frescos y de elaboración propia el mismo día. Pedimos la pasta fresca con ralladura de trufa y la pasta a la amatricciana. A la pasta de trufa le faltaba sal, para mi gusto estaba muy soso, pero la pasta era de muy buena calidad, fresca y hecha por ellos, la trufa venía una gran cantidad y también de buen profucto. La pasta a l'amattricciana increíble, buenísima. En cuanto a los segundos platos, estaban mucho mejor de sal, bastante cantidad para el precio que ponían. Muy buena relación calidad precio. Las patatas de acompañamiento increíbles, nos encantaron y viene una gran cantidad, claro que cuestan 6€, así se entiende perfectamente, muy bien especiadas. El postre casero se notaba que era de elaboración propia, masa, ricotta y chocolate. Lo único que nos desagradó fue que el pan estaba hecho sin sal, por lo que no lo acabamos de disfrutar, y la pasta con trufa lo mismo, lo demás todo correctísimo y súper contentos. 🚗 El local tiene aparcamiento propio privado. 🏡 El local es precioso, con vistas a un jardín muy bonito y decorado dentro con distintos cuadros de Ovietro, manteles de cuadros rojos y blancos y muy elegante. Lavabos bien cuidados. 💵 El precio no nos pareció nada mal. Acorde a la calidad del producto. Entiendo que el postre es hecho a mano, pero es cierto que yo lo vendería por 6€, no 7. Aunque entiendo que es un trabajo artesanal. Muy aconsejable.

Non passate di qui se non siete protagonisti della vostra salute! Perché per sapere apprezzare la qualità del buon cibo, bisogna volersi bene. Ma andiamo in ordine. Abbiamo scoperto questo posticino passando lungo la strada che va ad Orvieto e ne siamo stati attratti (agriturismo e prodotti km 0, la combinazione che ci ha fatto innamorare). Cosa troverai alla Locanda Orvieto? - un personale attento e gentile che saprà farti sentire a casa senza essere mai invadente. - cibo ottimo con verdure provenienti dall'orto. E bene sì, la qualità si paga, sappiatelo! Cosa non troverai? - una "trattoria" turistica a prezzi abbordabili. Abbiamo fatto questa premessa, doverosa a nostro avviso perché abbiamo letto alcune recensioni "negative" immeritate e che non comprendiamo dato che la qualità dei prodotti è indiscutibile. Qui si sposa una filosofia culinaria di chi ricerca e propone la bontà delle cose semplici e naturali (agnello allevato allo stato semi brado, verdure a km 0, olio prodotto da sè, ecc) e lo porta a tavola con passione. Dalla cicorietta alla parmigiana di melanzane, dagli umbriachelli al ragù di cinghiale e aggiunta di tartufo all'agnello scottadito (divorato, per cui ci dispiace ma non abbiamo foto) per finire con i dolci tiramisù e crostatina ai frutti di bosco (entrambi eccezionali). Che altro dire? Se passate per Orvieto, seguite il consiglio dei ragazzi del tavolo 11, venite qui e regalatevi una coccola mangiando bene e sano.

Unfortunately, one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had. Greeted with an introduction that they make their own wine, jams and olive oil. Ordered the home made pasta with wild boar ragu, decent. In addition to pasta dish, ordered salad and steamed vegetables as side dishes. Not only did our server serve the side dishes almost at the end of our pasta dish (we had to follow up), but also when it was served, I definitely think we were served steamed frozen spinach, blanched and bland. But wait, there’s more: in my week in Italy before visiting this place, I have never been served with cheese and olive oil in small packets until this place. Where’s the in-house olive oil? Are you really an “agritourism” forward...

speechless!!! Guys it’s a MUST! They have their own products, like fruits veg and all the cured meats and cheeses. We had the most Amazing Dinner Ever! Everything cooked to perfection! Truly recommended!!! Amazing staff, kind and friendly, like Diana! The Chef is an artist!!!! The Owner Alessandro welcomed us.. and we immediately felt like home , He let us Try His Premium Product, His Wine! “Bianco Delli Poggi”. Such An amazing Organic Wine from his own wine yard. GUYS the best of the best! Very impressed!!! Looking forward to...
