Ristorante Al Corsica Orvieto — Restaurant in Orvieto

This cozy little place is a piece of heaven in Orvieto. Al Corsica offered us undoubtedly the best food we had in Italy. To start with, the bruschetta with liver was an absolute delight and there was an explosion of flavors in the mouth. We tried the Roasted lamb leg which was perfectly cooked and smeared with exotic Italian herbs and spices. Their famous wild boar pasta was another winner. It's hard for me to forget the taste ever! Now comes the dessert. We ordered their homemade torta (cake), a Tiramisu and a chocolate ice cream. The first bite simply took us to heaven. We never wanted to leave the place, it was that good. They also serve the best Umbrian house wine which made our meal complete! Alexandria was a very sweet lady and we would love to visit Orvieto only to have another meal...

Consigliatoci da persone del posto. Eravamo di passaggio e non volevamo cenare in un locale con menù turistici. Detto - fatto! Una piacevole sorpresa per più di un motivo. Titolare/personale Alessandra e Laura molto competenti e con le idee ben chiare sulle aspettative dei clienti, gentilezza e cortesia umbra, esaustive spiegazioni sui piatti tali da farci rimpiangere l'occasione di una sola occasione di cena ( abbiamo soggiorato solo una notte). Materie prime di ottima qualità e fattura impeccabile con rigoroso rispetto della tradizione immagino. Risultato di livello decisamente superiore senza alcuno spazio ad osservazioni per cottura e processi di cucina. Ogni richiesta trattata con ampia disponibilità. In dettaglio: abbiamo preso due primi di eccezionale sapore magistralmente cucinati ( tagliolini all'uovo con tartufo nero estivo e altra pasta con sugo di salsiccia rucola etc.) con pasta fatta in casa. Eccellente il piatto di salumi tipici e formaggi. Due contorni semplici ma anch'essi molto buoni ( cicoria ripassata e funghi ). Rapporto qualità/prezzo elevatissimo. Peccato non poterci tornare a breve per degustare tutto il menu che la simpatic8ssima Laura ci ha illustrato con sapiente accuratezza. We were staying in Orvieto for a week and our host suggested we eat here. Typical food, good prices and good service. Excellent pasta, some other nice options including grilled meats and others with truffles that were very moderately priced and the wine was agreeable as well.
