Probably the best service that we received during our week in Tuscany & Umbria. The waiter was extremely friendly, fast and professional.
We ordered two dishes to share that were more than enough: Antipasto del Labirinto: Very good dish to taste the specialities of the region and the restaurant. Our favourites were the home-made grilled mortadella, the little toast of truffle and the eggplant coquette. 8/10 Stinco di agnello (Leg of lamb): Very tasty and generous leg of lamb. The meat and the artichoke were fresh and tasty, a little bit cold for our taste but nothing important. The only problem we found was some of the roasted potatoes were burnt, this should not happen in the kitchen of one of the best restaurants in town. 8/10
Additionally we got: A little appetizer of cheese that was very very good. Biscuits at the end :) some sweet always makes everything better.
And probably one of the best things of the place is the visit to the caves. Amazing, impressive the restoration works that they had to carry out. Besides the problem with some of the potatoes, our overall experience...
Read moreWe arrived with a large party without reservation on a weeknight. The staff accommodated us by opening up a new section of the restaurant which was very kind. Our server helped explain the food and brought dishes to the kids early as they were very hungry. The food quality was spotty… the labyrinth appetizer was very good. We ordered a variety of pastas and mains. The special of the day, gnocchi, was very soft and airy. My son loved it and ordered 2 plates. The pasta primavera was solid. The umbrichili with white boar ragout was extremely salty and nearly inedible. My husband’s umbrichili amatriciana was also on the salty side and just ok. I would give the food 3.5 stars if I had the option as some of our party loved their dish and others not so much. The service and atmosphere though were excellent. After dinner we were invited to explore the underground caverns which were very fun for the kids....
Read moreWe came here looking for a good dinner that wasn't right on the main street through old town. We didn't have reservations, but showed up when they opened and they were able to accommodate a table for 2. The food was amazing, the wine suggestions were spot on, and the dessert that they recommended was among the best we had in Italy, the cherry reduction was amazing. We were so happy with the meal and the experience! We were leaving when our waiter asked us if we wanted to visit the cellar, about which we had no idea. We were overwhelmed with the scale of THAT experience. The caves were amazing and we spent another hour after dinner wandering around in the cool tunnels and rooms. Such an amazing surprise, and nice and cool after a hot summer day! Best experience ever. Cannot recommend more highly. Do not miss this...
