Vis a Vis, cucina e eventi — Restaurant in Orvieto

A very beautiful place, with a charming atmosphere. We arrived in Orvieto and, after parking the car, realised there was no 5G signal — a surprising discovery in 2025! In any case, we decided to stop here for lunch, as my parents and kids were hungry. Once seated, I realised it was a vegan restaurant, which unfortunately was not the best fit for our family’s preferences. However, the only waitress — who might also be the owner — was extremely kind and welcoming. She explained that most restaurants would be closing soon, so we decided to stay and ordered some pasta for the kids and a few dishes she kindly recommended.

While the presentation of the dishes was beautiful, the flavours were unfortunately not to our taste. Despite trying several plates, we found the overall flavour quite unusual and not very enjoyable, even though we have had very good experiences with vegan cuisine elsewhere. In the end, we even left some food on the plates, which is rare for us.

We were looking for a vegan-friendly place and were told this vegetarian locale might suit us. Most of the items on the menu were able to be adjusted to vegan-style, which was great. Unfortunately, the taste of most of the dishes were severely lack in flavor despite the absolutely gorgeous display of the food. In Italy, it is not so hard to find veggie-based dishes, so it was very disappointing to find this place did not have the taste to match the aesthetics. The best dishes were pasta-based or the parmigiana and the worst were with rice as the rice was totally undercooked. It is a shame as there are not many specifically vegetarian/vegan style restaurants in the area, but honestly one can generally find very tasty local Italian-based vegan-friendly dishes for much cheaper and more centrally-located...

Purtroppo la mia esperienza è stato solo che negativa... Ci siamo recati in questo ristorante perché il mio compagno è vegano e volevamo provare un ristorante gourmet visto che purtroppo di ristoranti che hanno anche scelte vegane ce ne sono pochi.. Inizio con il precisare che il ristorante è solo a menù fisso e che la nostra disavventura è iniziata proprio perché nessuno ci aveva avvisati che c'era un menù specifico ogni giorno nonostante avessimo parlato via WhatsApp. Di solito quando qualcuno si fa 2 ore di strada per andare a mangiare fuori vorrebbe almeno sapere cosa va a mangiare e il prezzo altra cosa spesso sottovalutata (da nessuna parte era indicato il prezzo del menu, dell'acqua, del vino e delle bevande).. La cosa che più c'è dispiaciuta è stato che evidenziando l'accaduto alla responsabile invece che capire e magari migliorarsi per il futuro si sia voluta rivolgere in modo arrogante addirittura accusandoci di non aver guardato sui social (cosa che abbiamo fatto e da nessuna parte era evidenziato il menù fisso).. Cosa ancora più non professionale il fatto che non abbia neanche aspettato che ce ne fossimo andati per insultarci con lo chef... C'era la finestra aperta in cucina e abbiamo sentito tutto.... La qualità del cibo inoltre è sicuramente migliorabile... Non Dobbiamo ringraziare nessuno che siate un ristorante che offre anche...
