Ristorante Maurizio — Restaurant in Orvieto

We got married in Orvieto in June 2019. I wanted to arrange a welcome dinner for my 120 guests travelling from Ireland so I booked exclusive use of Ristorante Maurizio. I had never eaten in the restaurant prior to this and I arranged everything by email.

On the night we ate an appetizer full of local products, a first course of umbrichelle with truffle, mushrooms and crispy bacon, a leg of veal with cured sauce side dishes for our second dish , Tiramisu for dessert, and wine was served throughout the dinner.

The restaurant helped us arrange an accordion duo to perform during the meal.

Overall the food, atmosphere and service were amazing. Many of our guest’s revisited the restaurant throughout their stays. I will 100% be back. Thank you to Leonardo and team for creating the memorable night. Sergio & Danielle...

This restaurant was the highlight my day in Orvieto. I was pushed for time and had only one hour to order a meal, eat and then leave.

This restaurant also has an incomparable selection of the best Martinelli wine I was told from its own vineyard. The manager lavished very welcome attention on us and ensured our meal arrived on time and was delicious. The porcini pasta was superb, and was preceded by a tasting of aged balsamic vinegars arranged in spoons on a plate. An interesting and very tasty experience.

The host was most gracious and introduced us to his father, who was working as waiting staff. This was Italian dining at its best and made interesting by the commentary from our host.

We past by this restaurant on our way to find the other one but decided to take a chance even though it was early 11am and no one there. I normally don't go in if no one there. It was a surprise and yelp worked this time. I have steak my wife have pasta and we shared a soup. All are very good the best so far for our 9 days trip to Umbria & Tuscany but we are with Globus so most of our meals are group meals. Their 2005 wine is very good too bad it is difficult to get it into Canada. I would drink this everyday if I m in Italy. We also bought some balsamic from them, they are so nice that even though it is the most expensive balsamic we ever tasted, we decided to buy it. Service is very good, the best I ever...
