One of our fondest memories of being in Padova was our meal at Bruno’s. The owner called us by name (he referred to the three of us as “Dallas”) and recognized us each time we walked by. He was fun and upbeat, and he had us laughing sooo hard, which made our delicious meal and espresso that much more enjoyable. He brought us unsolicited courses, and extra desert (neither of which he charged us for), and he refused a tip. The little café is worth the trip if for nothing else but to meet Bruno. We had salads and pasta; the salad portions were way too big for us (you might want to share). We were able to have lunch outside which we liked in this age of COVID....
Read moreBruno's was amazing. My brother and I visited for lunch, ordered 2 separate dishes and they offered to put half of each massive meal on both of our plates so we could sample each other's food choice. Bruno and staff didn't speak much English but they made sure we had an excellent time.
As well as the meal we were given complimentary desserts and, when it was time for coffee Bruno came out with a walking stick, adorned with a bicycle bell and attached rum bottle to 'top up' our coffees!
