MEXICANI Taqueria — Restaurant in Padua

I have looked all around Europe for real Mexican tacos and have tried tens of places. None come close. This place is 100% legit. It makes me so happy to have found this place. Unfortunately we live in Munich but I half jokingly told my wife we would be making a 5.5 hour drive to come get these tacos.

My wife got a burrito..I got one of each type of taco (except vegetarian). While all were truly great and I would get them all again here is my stack rank: Carne asada Choriqueso (in the style of a Birria taco) Pibil Camerones Fish / Pollo tinga (couldn't decide)

The salsas are also 100% legit.. habanero was my favorite but the others are great too. Having lived in California and Florida for 4 and 7 years respectively, and been to Mexico a dozen times for vacation I have had my healthy share of Mexican food. I miss Mexican food and Mexico/Mexican culture in general living in Europe. This place made me so happy.

I spoke to the owner (I think?) and while he is Chilean he went to school in Mexico. You wouldn't be able to tell he is not Mexican given his taco skills. All the staples are here. Homemade corn tortillas. Pico de Gallo with cilantro. Homemade salsas. Purple sweet onions. Habanero! Taste was the best I've had in Europe by leaps and bounds and one of the best I've had full stop. While I was there a Mexican lady was eating there and also endorsed how legit they were.

Only downside. There is only one chair and a tiny little table which is also a garbage bin. Dude needs to get more seating for the street. But I won't hold it...

It was with great pleasure that I discovered Mexicani in the heart of Padua, Piazza dei Signori. The staff is really friendly and I could tell from miles away that they're are putting their Souls into offering the best of Mexican cuisine with authenticity, simplicity and product quality. I really enjoyed everything, starting from the tortilla all the way to their homemade spicy "salsa" (please make it slightly spicier)!! I've tried three different tacos: pastor, cochinita pibil & campechano all three really good and I really enjoyed the availability of Mexican branded beers like Modelo. On the suggestion side maybe the Pastor can be slightly boosted in terms of flavour to have an even better contrast with the pineapple? And I would also have appreciated some "cilantro" for some freshness. Last thing, kudos for having such a huge offer with both vegetarian and fish options! Looking forward to trying the whole menù!!...

I’m Mexican in Italy for vacation and I really missed the Mexican food and flavor. I’ve been traveling around Europe and honestly I have tried other Mexican restaurants but it was okay. But THIS place OMG, just one bite and I felt I was back in Mexico😭💗 the flavor is really really near to Mexican flavor. I had the burrito with carne asada and it was delicious! A little pricey but is okay for what you pay and for the quality. I would loved to have chairs or tables were to sit but this is how we eat in Mexico sometimes😹 straight and with your Taco in the other hand. The team is super friendly ✨...
