We are truly impressed with the quality of food, professionalism of the service team and the clean modern environment for dining at Bye Bye Blues. At arrival, we are welcomed by warm greetings and ushered to our seats. The waitress then helped us to stow away our jackets and presented the menu to us. We like to highlight that they have an english menu for guest who requires this version. The resto also has an extensive wine list for selection. The menu clearly indicates the key ingredients of each dish. The variety is well selected and unique. We like that Chef Patrizia takes the order personally for all guests. Upon placing our orders, we were served with a welcome antipasti on the house. We ordered a variety of raw fish platter and red prawns with artichokes and potatoes as antipasti to start. Both dishes are good starters, well presented and tasty. We had Risotto in Mussels soup and a grilled fish fillet as main course. The portion is reasonable and we enjoyed both dishes very much. The freshness of the grilled fish and tastiness of the mussel soup that enriched the risotto is commendable. We like the presentation and curation of the desserts. We had an almond and lemon cake with creme brulee and vanilla ice cream, and a millefoglie with citrus cream, caramel ice cream and pudding. Both dessert are not overly sweet, the balance between the sweetness of cream and citrus fruit are on point. Dining in the restaurant is comfortable and we observed that service team is attentive to the needs of different guests at each table. The restaurant comes with a heftier price tag compared to majority of the restaurants in Palermo. However, it is worthwhile to dine in this restaurant as we felt that it is outstanding and value for money given the experience and quality of food. It is a restaurant we will revisit and host our guests...

When it was time to pay I used my credit card the transaction went through (I received a push notification on my phone of Payment confirmation) however it didn't go through on the merchants end. This will probably be sorted out by my bank as I paid twice and I will probably be refunded.

My complaint here is directed to who I can only presume was the owner who thought I was trying to pull a fast one (avoid paying)

After my transaction was declined I used another card which went through.

On my way out I asked for a credit card receipt for the transaction that went through. So I could use it as proof in case I was charged twice.

The owner was hesitant to give it to me, then handed it over.

She gave me a dirty look and then I preceded to leave.

No "thank you" on her end.

I had to go back in to ask her to say thanks which she reluctantly did so.

By the way this woman has photographs of herself around the restaurant. 😂 So it doesn't suprise me she's seems so superior.

This place is trapped in the 90's michelin star era where customers only receive respect if you're wearing a white shirt with a Rolex hanging off your arm. Regardless of how much money you spend.

I paid 150 euro at lunch time to be treated like s**t on the way out.

Bye bye blues you won't see me in there again.

Ps the staff were lovely it's just the owner who brings this place...

Where to begin!? So many frills for something that wasn't supposed to be that hard. Let's start with what was good: -the service -the amouse-bouche -the cookies at the end

Let's continue with what was bad: overconfidece in what was almost tasteless food an appetiser that had no meaning an actually undercooked pasta where the flavors didn't blend or have meaning, but hey... Just "sell them right"

-last AND least: the meat!? GET A GRILL OR A PAN! That had to be the most tasteless, soulless piece of beef I have ever tasted. We both asked for medium, but your little sous-vide ways or your poor care for people's taste and requests didn't deliver AT ALL!!!

It was a roller-coaster of emotions: the peak being a great service, which went horribly downhill thanks to the seriously overpriced SOULLESS food.

Bottom lines: the best things you might taste are the things you didn't actually order. you want to impress your loved one/s with a fancy dinner HERE...!? LOL just don't.

Only reason you are getting 2 stars is the service.

Here's a good name for your...

My rating is 3.9. The restaurant is good, but didn't impress us with any of the dishes from the tasting menu. It's hard to believe it was a Michelin star restaurant. The dishes were presented nice, nothing innovative or outstanding though. The taste of most of the dishes was plain and lack some flavour kick. The ingredients were fresh. Some of the dishes from out tasting menu: variation of crudi, fish rolled with tomato espuma, potato puree, and marinated onion, pasta nero di sepia with gamberi and ricci espuma (great), fish in olive 'crust' with variation of caponata, watermelon mouse with cagliata, almond cake (great). Service was professional and attentive, but also too pushy. I understand that the restaurant wasn't full and maybe they wanted to take care of the customers, however coming every two minutes to check if we chose dishes or wine is too much and it's a lack of respect to our privacy. Overall, it was a good dinner, but nothing special.

This place is truly one of a kind in the area. The moment you step in, it feels like you’ve entered another world. Peaceful, authentic, and far from the touristy buzz of Mondello. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The food was outstanding: both in taste and presentation. The service was impeccable, with professional staff and an incredibly accommodating chef who not only greeted us but also took our order personally! A special thank you for the birthday candle on the cake, such a thoughtful gesture. It made the evening even more special for my boyfriend. We truly appreciated it!
