I went here to have Pizza I can’t talk for anything else but I do not understand at all why this place has an average rating of 3.7. I am extremely critical with food, service etc. because I am annoyed of all the tourist traps around the island of Sicily. But this is clearly NOT one of them. The Pizza I ate here blew my mind and is one of the best if not the best I have ever had and I am always looking for real Neapolitan style Pizza and know what to look for and what it means to eat one. The dough, the ingredients everything is of outstanding quality and freshness. Furthermore the place has an outstanding atmosphere with attentive and nice staff. What more do you want? I have been to many places rated a lot higher than this one but with much less authentic Italian food, with worse staff and with worse atmosphere. So if you want to have good Pizza don’t wait any longer and go for it!! I find the prizes extremely fair considering the area. I had worse Pizza for twice the price on...
Read moreWe stopped by last Sunday for lunch with our kids. It was shortly after noon, so the restaurant was empty and we had a really nice experience (obviously, a busy restaurant might stress the waiters out). The waiter was really nice to our kids and we didn't have to wait long for our hamburgers. Consider that this place (ex Sirenetta) is situated on a strategical spot in Mondello, the view is really nice and the street was closed to traffic that day. So paying more than usual is pretty understandable. They charged 5-8 euro for each of our hamburgers (compatible even in Palermo). The cocktails are 8 euro each, however, we didn't try them. The place is clean (even the restrooms) and very stylish. Next-door, there is a bar with a bistrot (as I understood you can even eat sushi there). We tried the ice-cream: I did not pick well (bacio and cocco were not particularly good), but my kids were still happy with their flavor choices. We'll definitely try the place once...
Read moreOrdered take out the first night, and the food (burgers) were pretty good. The waitress who took our order and payment was rude, and we put it down to her having a bad day. Went and dined in the next night as we noticed they offered gluten free pizzas. Apparently they only offer gluten free at certain times of the year... this was not stipulated on the menu. Waitress was very rude again and we got the feeling we were interrupting their chat/gossip time. No one came over at any point to check everything was okay. Asked for the bill, and waited so long that in the end we went up to pay. Food pretty good. Shockingly...
