Cappadonia Gelati — Restaurant in Palermo

This is hands down the best gelato outlet in Palermo. In my opinion their other outlet is marginally better (even though I'm sure they're batch made in a central kitchen, differences can occur when churning).

I normally go for pistachio to benchmark the quality of gelato, and here it is excellent - not too sweet, with a rich savoury mouthfeel that is typical of pistachio gelatos that do not skimp on the pistachio paste.

It was so good that I even tried other flavours - the dark chocolate is exceptional, as was the lemon sorbet. I didn't care for the watermelon though - i found it too sweet.

The down side - the baby is probably on the small side - but if you ask me, I'd rather eat less of high-quality gelato than a lot of a bad gelato. They also have a limited range of flavours, but I found them almost all...

Actually I don’t want to nag about the ice cream in this shop. Their ice creams are the BEST in Palermo. BUT the people who work there (except one very polite and friendly woman) are a$$h0!€s… why I say this? We know that you can have UP TO 3 flavours in one cone. From 10 times that we were here, at least times they told us that we cannot have 3 flavours in one cone and when we said that we know that we can have up to 3 flavours, they (3 differnet guys at 3 different times) added 2 of the flavours in an aggressive and ugly form on top of the first one and acted rude afterwards. I’m not even an ice cream lover. We stopped in here for my husband to get one, but after talking to the lovely gal serving, who was very knowledgeable about the different flavors & the artisan process used by the owner that makes all the ice cream, I had to taste one, and then I actually got my own!
