Amazing restaurant that was really worth the price!! My friend and I went there for dinner our first day in Palermo - there was no wait around 7:30, and we were quickly seated and brought Prosecco and these fried snacks that I’m honestly still thinking about?? The Prosecco was delicious too but I needed to stay sober so we didn’t end up ordering any wine.
We got the fried fish as an appetiser, which included a mix of small fish, tiny squids, and shrimp - everything was fried to perfection and the portion was huge. For first courses, I got the black tagliatella pasta with red prawn, burrata cheese, and lime; my friend got the calamarata with red prawn that had a squid ink sauce. Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante 131, located on the picturesque Via della Libertà in Palermo. This exquisite restaurant offers a culinary experience that rivals that of Michelin-starred establishments.
I opted for the tasting menu, which was a delightful journey through the chef's carefully crafted creations. The service was impeccable – attentive, yet unobtrusive – and the harmony of flavors was truly remarkable. Each course was thoughtfully presented and left a lasting impression on my palate.
In addition, the wine accompaniment was simply superb. The sommelier did an outstanding job of selecting wines that not only complemented the flavors of each dish but also enhanced the overall dining experience. The pairing choices were both inspired and thoughtful, demonstrating the sommelier's extensive knowledge and passion for his craft.
Ristorante 131 is a must-visit for anyone seeking an extraordinary dining experience in Palermo, complete with remarkable wine pairings. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning...

And also the surprising amuses. It was a big party! Add to this the friendly service (she once wanted to live in The Hague, but is devoted to her birthplace) and the passionate female chef. All in all, the restaurant is definitely worth a star! Come...
