I read through a few of the negative reviews as we do and some bloke put a 2 star review which is simply silly! Obviously has absolutely no idea about Italian Tradition! Good food is not about receiving food on beautiful white plates with designer cutlery! It's the rustic places like this make Italy, Italy!
This place writes the menu daily, there for make everything fresh like Nonna does! Coming from 20 years of Pasta Manufacturing, I can safely say that these guys are the real deal. All the pasta we ate was perfect! I ate Pici in a Ragu sauce. My kids ate a traditional Rigatoni with Tomato Sauce and Pecorino Cheese. Very simple dishes made well is what you look for in a great dish! We stumbled across this place by accident and ended up being one of the best restaurants of our trip. Small intimate with only 6-7 tables. 20-22 people max. All the food is served with disposable plates and glasses. If your as stuck up little Gen Y or Z or Millennial or what every the hell you people identify as, don't come here. It's not for you. Authentic, non-pretentious restaurant in a nice little square just outside all the touristy chaos. Delicious lentils, generous portion of ricotta salata on my pasta, although my partner in culinary crime was not a fan of his dish (tasted too much like the cow it was made of). The menu, I’m guessing, tends to be rustic. The host is super positive and looks after everyone in an efficient order.
