What an amazing gem we found here! Picture 6 tired and hungry friends, rushing for a train after exiting the ruins of Pompeii and just seeing this place that looks open but kinda closed (empty and silent) - as it should, since it were maybe 3pm. And we entered and ask in our broken italian if it would be possible to make some takeaway margheritas. He told us since the oven was off it would take some 10-15min. That's ok, we could undertake that wait if we split and some went to buy the train tickets and the others later run to the station with the boxes of pizza. BEST DECISION EVER. These were the best margheritas I have ever eaten. And only 5€ each. The overall experience was amazing. If I ever go back to Pompeii, I hope this place is still up and running because I will be very glad to go back there and this time seat and enjoy my...
Read moreI used to be a chef, restaurant manager and Sommelier. My teenage boys and husband have very discerning taste. We absolutely loved our experience. We’ve been in Italy for a week and this was our best restaurant experience. We enjoyed the hospitality and attentiveness. I am gluten-free and the food was absolutely delicious and accommodating. The octopus salad was cooked perfectly and had a light citrus vinaigrette. The creamy Gorgonzola pasta with zucchini was so rich and delightful. My husband and children had a calzone, fried chicken, and Gnocchi. We all would recommend all of these dishes. Flavors were developed and balanced. I had wine and dessert and nothing was overly priced. This is a short walk from the entrance to Pompeii and I highly recommend taking it and getting away from the tourist restaurants. The atmosphere was gorgeous and clean. We all enjoyed very stimulating conversation, which as a mother of teenagers is exactly what you want. 100%...
