Outstanding restaurant with superior food, great service and a view of the Amalfi Coast that is spectacular. We were picked up at our hotel by their car service and brought to this cozy restaurant high up on the Positano cliffs. Upon entering the first thing you see is an authentic wood fired pizza oven, now THAT'S the way to impress me! Because we had reservations we were seated next to a huge open window overlooking the Bay of Naples, more points for that. Next, an older gentleman that was most likely the owner took our water and wine order with a warm greeting and smile, check. The place was full of familes, couples, tourists and locals alike and although quite a large restaurant, it never had an open table for long. Great vibe with enough noise to make it comfortable but not so much to be a distraction. We ordered pizza, pasta and salad and wow, what a pizza! I've had my share of authentic Italian pizzas in my travels but this one was the best. Better that Pizza Gusta in Florence, crisp but chewy crust with spotted dark spots, a light tomato sauce, cheese that was so fresh it tastes sweet. Artichokes that would make any Roman proud. THE BEST! Pasta was just as good, and the dessert was excellent. Some complimentary Limoncello at the end....the icing on the cake was as we were leaving we walked outside to wait for the shuttle to take us back to our hotel, and there was someone outside in his car and asked us how our meal was, we told him and he said he would take us back to our hotel. On the short ride back he told us about Positano and that he was born and raised there. I asked how long he worked for the restaurant and he says "oh, I don't work for them, they're my friend and neighbor". We were flabbergasted! Just added to the experience, next time we're in Positano, we...

I had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante da Costantino during my recent visit to Positano, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, I was charmed by the warm and inviting atmosphere of this cozy establishment.
The highlight of my meal had to be the Fresh Tomato Penne all'Arrabbiata pasta. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the Arrabbiata sauce had just the right amount of kick to tantalize my taste buds. The freshness of the tomatoes truly shone through in every bite, and I couldn't get enough of it. It's a must-try for anyone visiting this restaurant!
I also had the Marinara Pizza, and it was a slice of heaven. The thin, crispy crust was topped with a flavorful tomato sauce and an abundance of fresh ingredients. Every bite was a burst of Italian flavors that left me craving more.
To accompany my meal, I decided to try the house white wine, and it was a fantastic choice. After a small hike up the mountain to reach the restaurant, the refreshing and crisp white wine was the perfect way to unwind and complement my meal.
The service was impeccable throughout the evening, with the staff being attentive and friendly. The view from the terrace was breathtaking, offering a stunning panorama of Positano and the Mediterranean Sea.
Overall, Ristorante da Costantino is a true gem in Positano, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience. Whether you're a fan of pasta, pizza, or just want to enjoy a glass of wine with a view, this restaurant has it all. I can't wait to return on my next visit to this beautiful town!
Molto grazie, Ristorante da Costantino, for a memorable dining...
Read moreWe went to this restaurant because of the high rating, but were very disappointed. When we arrived, the lady at the front cash seemed incredibly annoyed that we didn’t have a reservation, despite the fact that there was no line and a number of tables open.
Once seated, the bread arrived with little ants crawling all over it. I asked nicely for it to be taken away as the bugs were crawling out of the basket onto the table, and was met with the same curt attitude.
Our server also seemed irritated to be serving us, and was coughing/sneezing into a tissue in his hand and stuffing it back into his pocket without ever washing his hands. We both caught colds 2 days after this dinner, which we don’t think was a coincidence.
When my partner ordered a pizza, our server tried to dissuade him from ordering that, saying it would take at least an hour to get the pizza (it was much faster than this).
All of this would have been forgiven if the food was spectacular, but unfortunately it wasn’t. The appetizers (arancini and crocce) were terrible and very dry. The mains (pasta and pizza) were quite tasty, but not such that it overrides the bad service and...
