I went looking for Naná one night after dinner. I’d read all about these sandals online and I needed to know if they were as amazing in person as the reviews made them seem. Spoiler: they are. I went back the next day with my aunt (and interrupted Nanàs lunch! Sorry, Nanà!) and started the search and the choices. From the base of the sandal (wider widths available), to the color of the leather straps, to the color of the stone settings, to the stones themselves (regular crystals or Swarovski or a mix) - don’t rush, take your time. Naná makes a brusque first impression, but is really a sweetheart. She started the store as a clothing store, but it has since turned into an international destination for sandals and jewelry and select leather items. Her more simple (no stones, all leather) sandals (for men and women) are beautiful in that classic, timeless way. The quality is unmatched. She sources her leather from Santa Croce in Florence, where I’ve toured the leather making process and can personally attest to its quality. The Swarovski stones are all over the shop and have that unmistakable brilliance to them. Naná is an artist and will tell you that she pursues perfection in all of her creations. Once you return to pick up your sandals, you’ll get a final fitting where Naná will personally fit the sandals to your feet and give the entire shoe a final once over that would make any Marine standing for inspection nervous. Don’t be fooled by the other shops around town. They can’t hold a candle to what Naná is offering. If you’re staying anywhere on the Amalfi Coast, this shop alone is worth a trip...
