Baghino — Restaurant in Prato

We were really impressed after visiting this restaurant today for lunch. First at all, food was excellent, all 5 of us were totally satisfied with mains. Also, deserts were good (not the best tiramisu but great cream caramel). We also loved the ambience and the service of this place. And the most pleasant end of our lunch was to know the story of this place. Really amazing and beautiful! Leaving the restaurant we saw its owner in the kitchen, beautiful 93 years old woman who cooks here for her guests. So special...

Had a quick layover on our train from Milano Centrale and saw the great reviews on Yelp so we decided to give it a try! The service was wonderful. Our server was very kind and accommodated our lack of Italian fluency. He made great conversation with us and even brought us little cookies at the end. First impression would call for a 5 star rating. The bistecca tastes amazing and the selection of wines is good. However, the service level does not exactly match the rest, unfortunately. Wine was not opened at the table, we were not offered to taste the wine and the bottle was only placed at our table without being poured. Would expect this for a restaurant...
