edit: We're the people you (the woman head-waitress) sent away 5min after the main course because you had friends waiting ~10min at the door, eyeballing our table. You told us "I have a reservation, I need this table can you leave?" even though we were there for less than 2 hours. When I asked, can I at least finish my wine?, you responded: "5 minutes", and actually let another waiter bring us the check instantly.

I regret paying at all, because apart from this weird interaction (you seated us yourselves), the carbonara at this place is a war crime. 0,0001% guanciale, musky pecorino, if at all, unable to taste it because of the watery CREAM (?!). One of the best dinners we had in Sicily, no doubt! Mamà Trattoria is a true gem in Ragusa. The food was incredibly authentic and bursting with flavor, and the atmosphere was unlike anywhere else (filled with vintage charm from old phones and radios to typewriters and TVs). Every detail was thoughtfully curated. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive, making us feel right at home. The BEST gasto experience ever, friendly staff, very delicious food, very good prices. If you have no clue what to order, just ask the staff, they will not dissapoint. Personally i think they have the most delicious homemade bread with homemade oil i ever had. For the appertizers, we had a mix of everything, cheeses, olives, baked king onion with a marmelade made from oranges. Absolutely amazing. For drinks chinotto, a little bitter but also sweet soda, and for the main course i would recommend the lasagna rustica, or gnocchi with ragù, or spaghetti carbonara or basically anything they offer, because there is no way it can be awful or disgusting.
