I just returned from a trip to Italy with a family of 15. Our boat trip was cancelled due to weather so we went to Ravello as a plan B. I was scrambling to find restaurant accommodations for 15 and stumbled upon Sigilgaida. Enter our hero, Pasquale. He and I chatted and he not only made room to accommodate us, but what he had prepared re seating options when we arrived for dinner was beautiful. Wonderful setting with breathe taking views. To say my family was thrilled and delighted would be an understatement. What followed after we were seated turned out to be one of the highlights of our 10 day trip. We were wined and dined as if we were long lost members of Pasquale's family. He introduced local wines (one of which was my favorite of the trip), brought insight to the dishes, and treated us with surprises at every turn. He created a night none of us will forget and in the process we felt like we made a new friend. Beyond that, when the meal was complete, Pasquale and the staff had rides for us waiting back to Amalfi (no easy feat at that time and place). Over the top consideration and service. If you find yourself in Ravello and are looking for an amazing meal, with incredible views, that will create lasting memories, don't miss this place. Thank you Ristorante Sigilgaida, staff, and Pasquale for a...
Read moreService was below subpar. Seemed very “family friendly” ie screaming kids everywhere. Would not recommend if you are looking for good food or service. Our experience in the dining room was probably the worst experience I have ever had. First course took over an hour to come out. A family of 10 was seated and feed before my husband and I were. Water was never refilled. “Mixed vegetables” were just red peppers. Fish was “deboned” table side…. Cold fish and first bite of course had bones. We went to Bella Vista for dinner the night before for half the price, better service and much better fish. 0/10 recommend.
Also by the time to open the sun has already set so can’t comment on the view but doubt it could make for this...
Read moreStrolling around Ravello town and found this hotel, I saw that they had a balcony with seats that overlook the amalfi coast, so I decided to have a drink there, it was around 2:30pm and the kitchen had not yet closed, I ended up ordering tuna tartare (my must order dish) and seafood risotto. Service was excellent, waiters were very attentive, restaurant environment was peaceful and relaxing.
The tuna tartare was very fresh and the portion was big compared to other restaurants I have been to. The seafood risotto was very delicious, I think they put some saffron in it, it tasted of strong and intense flavour of seafood like it was cooked in seafood bisque. I really enjoyed this meal with the breath taking view of the...
