Before and after the meal small delicacies are served as entree and exit to the meal, and they are truly nice.
Nonetheless we cannot find our own experience reflected in mostof the other other reviews. In fact this was an overall disappointment, because 1) the main courses, primi and secondi, were trite - entirely lacking umami. They were not bad food, of course - which would also have been absurd given the price level. But they were very far from up to the level, in fact relatively uninteresting, and 2) the atmosphere is snobbish. We ordered the menu del mare, and were rewarded with a whole evening of beautiful small dishes that arrived at perfectly spaced intervals. I particularly loved my antipasto of monkfish wrapped in lardo, with artichoke and salmoriglio sauce.
