Piro Piro — Restaurant in Reggio Calabria

Come hungry, leave pissed off and get harassed by the owner too!!!

We were greeted by a host so miserable and moody which should have been the first sign for us to go anywhere else! Literally! A city full of restaurants and we were lured for the view and it was absolutely terrible. Forty minutes for an appetizer, another hour with no main course, and my daughter crying before we could even eat our main course. I asked for the bill from 3 other waiters because our waiter was too busy kissing buttt to bigger groups and avoiding my eye contact at all costs. We had dirty appetizers plates sitting on our table for 40 mins. The service was so slow it felt like we were trapped and being held hostage—over a pasta that never arrived but still showed up on the bill. The owner accused me of trying to skip payment, justified the restaurants bad service and claimed ‘that’s just how they do things there’, tried to pay several times and then ripped the receipt out of my hands!!! Grabs it from me hard!! Absolute trash working here!!!I have never been treated like that in my life!!! A disgrace. Truly the worst dining...

Deeply average. Only tried the Pizzaria.

Patatine Fritte con pancetta was without any real attempt at presentation, or any effort to make a marriage of flavours. Just pancetta dumped on top of chips. It was nice in the same way a cheap bacon sandwich is nice.

Crocche Provolone e basilico was absent of provolone and basilico, obviously a frozen product just dumped hot on top of a small bed of rocket, which wilted under the heat of the Croquette on top. Not presented well, carefully, or correct to the menu. Tasted ok because it was a deep fried piece of mashed potato...which is really hard to make bad.

I had the Sul Vulcano pizza, and it was...fine...with nothing to recommend it or warn against it. The equal of any "spicy pizza" I've had outside of Italy.

A place relying on its location over it's quality of food. The scenery is beautiful though...and the host was very kind to us. On these things there can be no complaint, it was quick too. Only the quality of food let...

Unacceptable, steer clear of this restaurant. Absolutely horrendous.

First of all we ordered only 4 dishes. They forgot one, and still it took 1 hour and 40 minutes to get all of them! Horrible horrible horrible service. Would give 0 stars if i could, you have to chase down a waiter just to order.

We ordered for antipasti the cod, which was pretty good, but that was the only good dish. After this came the open ravioli with swordfish. Just horrible. Cold , no salt or seasoning, we did not even finish the dish.

Bread was good. Now onto the last dish which we got almost 2 hours after ordering. We had the beef cube roll. Honestly just bland, nothing crazy and especially for it's price of 27€. Overall for a price of 50€ per person it is honestly one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to regarding this price range.

Honestly unacceptable. Would never evee...
