Pepy’s is a beautiful beach club in the heart of Reggio Calabria. I spent my afternoons laying at the beach club in awe of the views of Sicily. It is breathtaking! Great for photos!
There is access to the sea for swimming and you can see through the water right to the sea floor and the water is very calm. I even saw some small fish. I am not sure who enjoyed the water more, me or the fish. There is a lifeguard on duty for safety of course. I had an amazing lunch which was a toasted wrap on a bed of arugula. It was so delicious with the roasted eggplant and melted cheese. The drinks were also great and the prices were very reasonable.
At night, we would walk the courso or see a show at the local amphitheater next door and finish with dinner and drinks at Pepy’s. The views at night are just as amazing as the day. A little piece of heaven. The staff is friendly and treats everyone like family. Even though my Italian is not that good, they were very patient and attentive. Pepe is an amazing host! The service was rude and unprofessional. Staff didn’t speak English and made no effort to understand us. When I tried to speak Italian to explain our order, they corrected me in a condescending and disrespectful way.
Overall, a deeply unpleasant experience. Definitely a never...

I had just this, and the service was quick and friendly...but, they "elegantly" kind of pressured me to get something to eat also, even when I made it clear that I only wanted a drink. Nothing serious, but still a turnoff. I haven't tried the food, they are supposed to be experts in swordfish, even making it a burger. Your choice. Ah, and NO pasta, I mean it's absent for the menu, and to be honest I could do with a nice plate of pasta Italiano and a glass of cool vino bianco under the moonlight by the sea. As I said,...
