I would avoid this place. We had an awful interaction with the “manager.” Firstly I ordered a san pellagrino aranciata. He brought me out a fanta. He said “yes this is it” when I said I didn’t want the Fanta. After explaining I cannot drink this he brought me the right drink. I have no idea why he tried to bluff me to be honest. Secondly, my pasta was uncooked. I showed the waitress, she agreed and brought me out a new meal within 1min. Unfortunately this was less cooked than the first meal. It was raw. My husband’s matriciana- the sauce must have been out of can, it was terrible. No bacon pieces. Absolutely no love in that sauce. Having travelled extensively throughout Italy (over 20 times!!) we know what al Dante and nice sauces should taste like. But the real reason for the one star reviewed is we decided to just not eat our meals and explained we will pay it. It wasn’t worth arguing over and we just wanted to move onto another restaurant to have dinner. What we didn’t expect was a barrage of abuse by the manager even though we paid for the meal!!! I mean we are paying for meals we haven’t eaten (even though we were entitled too) because it wasn’t worth it. His colleagues were absolutely shocked by the way he spoke to us. So be aware, if there is any issue with your meal you won’t be able to talk to them politely. Oh I forgot .., there was hair in our bruschetta to add to the whole experience!

We happened upon this restaurant on our second evening in Rome and decided to give it a go. The area was mostly frequented by locals and the restaurant was busy, we were lucky to get a table. During our stay the staff we’re very personable, they provided us with english menu’s which saved us a load of time translating on our own with google translate. After we enjoyed a fantastic meal with dishes we hadn’t tried before as-well as tried and tested classics which exceeded our expectations, our waiter Daniel took us through the selection of Amaro, meticulously explaining each type, its history and flavour profile. We left a little wiser, slightly drunk and overall very pleased with the experience we had at this fine establishment. Regardless of why you are visiting the city, and how long for, you should make this a stop on your itinerary. You wont be disappointed!

We visited this restaurant based on its 4.5-star rating, but unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing. The entrecôte was completely off—full of fat, and they didn’t even ask how we wanted it cooked. Another meat dish, an Italian specialty, was practically inedible. It had no flavor at all. The tomato salad I ordered was just a handful of plain lettuce with no real dressing. When we asked for olive oil and balsamic vinegar, we only received olive oil. It felt like no effort was put into the dish at all. The two pasta dishes we ordered were mediocre at best. While we didn’t have to pay for the two inedible dishes, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. The food lacked care and quality. In the end, we left hungry and frustrated, especially with our three kids. Definitely not an experience we’d repeat.

My friends and I went to eat at this restaurant after walking along the Trastevere area in Rome. We were a table of 3 and the host (whose name I would later learn was Daniele), prepared a table especially for us outside in the cool Trastevere air. When we asked what was the best pasta at the restaurant, Daniele told us that the carbonara was excellent and that Bolognese pasta (which we had asked about) was not available at the restaurant.

The carbonara was simply fantastic. It was so good, we ordered a SECOND helping of carbonara to share and we also cleaned that plate completely. The service was fantastic, with our orders coming quickly and they even took care of the food allergies. The food and service were both amazing and I strongly recommend eating at Bacco in Trastevere. In particular, I would like to commend Daniele's service which really made the night excellent. Have the pasta here, you...

Visited this restaurant in Early June 2018 as part of a week long trip to Rome. It was by far our worst restaurant experience. Food was ok..when it eventually arrived. Only 5 of us yet 2 main courses didn't arrive for a full 20 minutes. Manager was ignorant and rude and completely incompetent. The rest of the staff didn't seem to know what was going on and left everything to him which was unfortunate. He blamed everyone else for the delay and was completely dishonest in terms of what he told us. When I told him I didn't expect to pay for the 2 meals that didn't arrive for 20 minutes he threatened me and said he would call the police. I had no problem with that but it seems he was a coward too as didn't charge us for the 2 meals. We left immediately and went elsewhere for desserts and coffee. Avoid this restaurant if you can or better still go to the excellent...
