Read moreDo not come. Tourist trap This restaurant was recommended by my airbnb host when I asked for authentic Italian food. I made the reservation with a request for an English speaking server since it was my first time in Italy and I can only order myself breakfast. When I arrived it was hard to find the actual entrance to the restaurant because out front are about 5 stands of people selling cheap jewelry to tourists. Then when we actually found it and checked in, I saw in the reservation ‘ Server inglese’ so I assumed everything would go off smoothly. Once we sat down we were greeted by a waiter that looked no older than 19 and when I asked if he knew any English his face got nervous but he tentatively said yes. I had already knew what I wanted to order since I made the reservation a month in advanced. I attempted to show him by simply pointing but he must’ve not understood because i did not recognize the dish he placed in front of me. I had pictures of what I wanted so I had an idea but what I got looked like a cheap side dish. I also wanted to try a bunch of appetizers but was served pasta instead. When I tried to tell the waiter to fix it he was no where to be found. I was dining with my mom so we ordered a bottle of wine and bread to start. The server forgot the wine twice and the bread three times. We tried flagging down other servers but were met with “I’m just a helper for the waiter sorry” while he actively helped other tables. My mom pointed out that the tables that received the most help had men seated. While us two women were stuck in the corner without any assistance. It completely ruined my appetite and it was my first night in Rome so it wasn’t a good start. I became fed up and just went to the counter paid and left. Never...
Read moreOur worst dining experience in Rome maybe is an old establish restaurant but I really dont know how...First, food was not delivered on time, it took for ever to get our food and when we got our food, the plates were almost thrown in the table one of the plates ordered was bought at the end that the whole group have eating and had to wait for her to finish. The food was average. The main problem was a waiter name Augusto that was very rude from the begging, he actually took the initial order and made a mess of it. He didn't come back to the table unless I actually made eye contact with him and made a gesture to talk to him, don't know what his problem was I treat him cordially and with respect at all times but I almost thought that he had some problem with Latin people we were a group of 8, 6 ladies two men. He was very attentive and cordial with other tables but with our table that he was the one that took the initial order he was completely rude almost with an aggressive attitude. I have never experience something like this in my life. A young waiter, Mathias was the one that have to come to our rescue and did a great job taking in consideration that Mr. Augusto even try to avert for him not to take care of us. I was in shock of the treatment, so I watch very attentive of Mr. Augusto behavior. There were a mistake with my bill that was taken care of immediately when my wife went to pay, even at this moment Mr. Augusto was very aggressive like insinuating that we were trying to leave without paying our bill completely. I ask the lady that bill us, if Augusto was the owner and she said that she was the owner and at this moment I told her that Augusto was a bad employee. I have done this review because bullies have...
