Elvy - Bagel & Salad — Restaurant in Rome

I wanted to love this place so much... Unfortunately we were disappointed. Mostly because the bagels are not toasted. Toast the bagels and you win! The ingredients are so flavorful and so filling and so worth it. But the untoasted bagel ruined it. I had bacon and egg. At least it was a warm bagel. Husband had Greek bagel. Ice cold. A cold bagel is chewy. A warm untoasted bagel is chewy. Not good. It must be toasted. These bagels would be 5 star if you toast them. Maybe the other location does? Also the service at this location on Saturday for brunch was insanely slow. There was only one guy with a salad in front of us. From arrival to food in mouth was 31 minutes. Insanity. The guy was so kind and friendly but yo, what are you doing? He needs help. A few tables outside would also be awesome. Sono stata da Elvy con una mia amica qualche giorno fa. Il posto é molto piccolo e non é pensato per mangiare lì e diciamo anche che non sarebbe necessario poiché il bagel si mangia tranquillamente anche in piedi. Ma, onestamente, se ci fossero stati anche solo un paio di tavolinetti fuori sarebbe stata un'esperienza migliore. Detto ciò, i bagel sono buonissimi. Abbiamo preso la formula con appetizer e soft drink. Io ho preso il West Coast Bagel, con semi di papavero e con appetizer di pulled pork bites. La mia amica ha preso il Pulled Pork Bagel con semi di sesamo e patatine fritte da accompagno. La qualità degli ingredienti si sente molto, soprattutto considerando il prezzo, che a mio avviso é anche basso per ciò che si mangia.
