Flour Farina e Cucina — Restaurant in Rome

Been in Rome for 2 days and this is, by far, the worst place we’ve been too. Honestly, I cannot stress how bad the service is. It’s unfortunate that I have to give a star otherwise I’d give it a zero. The waiter took our drinks and food order, no problem there; well done. Now the wait…..still no drinks. 10mins, still no drinks. 15 mins, STILL NO DRINKS. The place is not even busy; there was literally 4-6 people there. So after like 20mins, one meal comes out, BEFORE our drinks. We asked the waiter for our drinks and he brings out 3 and not the other 4 we were waiting for. What a joke. We then had to complain about the delay in getting the food. As soon as we complained, the food started coming out but not everyone’s; just 4. Now we’re waiting for 3 more. The fish and chips comes out in a silver can (no plate). The waiter said he would go and get a plate. You can guess what happened next…..no plate. Unreal level of poor service. I’ve received better service at my local McDonalds. Eventually the food arrived and it didn’t live up to expectation. Under seasoned for a start. We didn’t bother asking for salt as we’d probably be waiting an age for them to bring some out. I personally wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It could be a one off but it was...

My friend and I spent a few hours talking here on a rainy Saturday evening. We arrived around 18.00 just after it opened and were told upon entering that as they had just opened and as such food wouldn't be available until later. This wasn't a problem for us but is something you should bear in mind.

We chose Flour Farina e Cucina because we had heard that they had a good tea selection. Unfortunately this turned out not to be true. They did not have any Earl Grey or fruit teas so our choices were English breakfast or mint tea. I was pleased however with the presentation of the tea. We received a large tea pot each that easily held enough hot water for two and a half cups of tea and a small plate of biscuits. Excellent value at €2.50 each.

The decor inside is very pleasant however because of people frequently coming and going through the large automatic slide door we were often cold.

The staff were very friendly and organised and while we won't return, we spent a pleasant couple of hours at Flour...

Locale bello, molto ben arredato, nordico, caldo. Pasticceria e gastronomia molto sopra la media. Lieviti ottimi, pizzette di sfoglia che valgono il viaggio. Ampia offerta kosher. Vini selezionati con acume e proposti con ricarichi più che civili. Prezzi proporzionati in generale. Personale in sé evidentemente capace MA incastrato in processi di servizio estremamente - estremamente! - disorganizzati. Tutti fanno tutto. In tre su un solo cliente storico che ha ordinato una tonnellata di take away e nessuno per gli altri quindici occasionali che vorrebbero fare colazione e vengono trattati come un intralcio: perché lo sono. Non sai dove metterti in fila. Due casse una opposta all'altra, una self e una servita, una forse aperta l'altra forse pure o forse no, dipende. Se la cassa servita è chiusa, la banchista che sta servendo il cliente storico e i quindici disperati che chiedono il cappuccino ora deve pure collegarsi al pos e farti lo scontrino. Intorno: teglie su teglie su teglie, ottanta centimetri tra il bancone e la prima linea dei tavoli, carrelli da forno che passano da una parte all'altra facendo spostare tutti. Esito: clienti che finiscono per azzuffarsi nel disperato tentativo di ottenere un po' di attenzione - che infine forse otterranno, irritata e infastidita, anche dieci o quindici minuti dopo il loro ingresso.
