We stumbled upon Guenda on a Thursday afternoon after visiting the Colosseum and the Palatine Hill, and we are so glad we stopped in. The interior is a cave (seriously) and nice, cool resting spot for a sunny day.
The best food in Roma (seriously), amazing menu options and everything we had was stunning and delicious. Also our waitress was phenomenal (Arianna) and very helpful.
We started with Latte’s (we commented how stellar they were), and then our soup / appetizer Pappa al Pomodoro (fantastic texture, I could have just had this for the whole meal). Then we had MEDITERRANEO salad, the Ravioli with Lime, Zucchini and Ricotta (it was the most unique dish, refreshing and delicious, we put a bit of heat on it and it was really good), and the Hamburger (the bread was outstanding!)
For Desert: we had a Pistachio Canoli, Pear and Blueberry Cobbler (absolutely amazing a MUST try!) and the Torta de Rose (its like a Cinnamon Roll).
We wanted to go back for dinner genuinely and are sad we couldnt make it back. 10/10 will be back for our next trip - thank...
Read moreWhat a fantastic place! We visited here after doing a tour at the Colosseum (a short walk away) We arrived during Happy hour - so we're able to enjoy the restaurant, and the surroundings as it filled with diners all arriving to enjoy time with family and friends. We sat inside - near the bar. It was a really cosy setting, with a great atmosphere. The staff here are all very efficient and helpful. Orders were placed, drinks arrived, with some olives Shortly after - our share platter of meats and cheeses came through. The focaccia was fantastico! The meats were all really good too!
We also chose to the meatballs, and a pizza - with a tomato salad. We never had room for dessert unfortunately!
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff here, and we had an enjoyable couple of hours here. If you want a cosy meal - in a really unique setting, then I strongly suggest giving this a...
Read moreThis place was so cool! It's a restaurant literally set up in an ancient structure on the outskirts of the Roman Forum. It's very hard to describe how exciting it was to eat here right after completing our tour.
Aside from being one of the coolest restaurants we ate at in Rome, the food was excellent and so was the service! The fried appetizer was really a unique dish compared to what we ate on our trip to Italy, and it was very inexpensive. I enjoyed the meatballs as well, both recommended. Our server was very sweet and attentive. This place is a real gem, in my opinion. I'm so glad we stumbled upon it!
Pro tip: I really think most people would get a lot more out of a visit to Guenda immediately following a visit to the Roman Forum. Definitely a great...
