Maga's Burger & Fries — Restaurant in Rome

We stumbled upon this burger shop when looking for a late dinner while staying nearby at the Waldorf Astoria. Being an American tourist in Italy, a burger wasn’t on the top of my list to try but WOW are we glad to have found this place! I was genuinely impressed and have to say this is the best mushroom burger I’ve ever had. They serve gourmet burgers nothing like fast food, they use high-quality Italian ingredients and are happy to share where they source everything.

I had the Porcini Mushroom Bacon burger, it had a delicious homemade Parmesan sauce and a fantastic roll from a bakery in town. 10/10 recommend this one!

Burger was great one of the best I ever had, and I ate at a place that won National Geographic’s prestigious best burger award. As an American it probably sounds bad I went to Italy and got a burger, but hear me out. It was late and they were one of the latest places still open. The burger was as thick in the center as it was on the edges. The bun was huge and the meat of the burger went all the way to the edge of the bun and both of those alone can make or break it for me. I don’t know how many times in America we order a burger well done and the edges are cooked and center is still pink because it’s fat in the center. The buns were great covered in various seeds, and great and varied toppings on the burger. I really liked their jalapeño poppers and deserts. FINALLY, I've found it! This is the best burger in Rome. I've been searching for over a year a burger place in Rome and they all fell short of expectations (most places were simply bad). Here at Maga's we tried the cheese burger and the bacon cheese burger with fries (and chicken bites for the kids) and they were as good as the best burgers you would find at a really good restaurant in USA.
