Nuova Fiorentina — Restaurant in Rome

V.ery disappointed. Me and my wife had arrived to Rome from Malaga, my daughter, son and grandson from Helsinki and my daughter in law from Brussels to celebrate my wife''s 70 and daughter's 40 years. Part of this family meeting was dinner at this restaurant 12.11.23. Earlier at the same day I had visited personally the restaurant and made reservation for dinner for six persons indide the restaurant. Then at the dinner time we arrived and the lady at the desk told that she had booked us outside to the terrace where the temperature was maybe 10 degrees. After three times telling the lady that she had booked us earlier inside she stili pointed us the door and very determinedly commaded "out". At last she agreed to look our reseervation which she had herself written and then came comment "oops sorry" you have table inside. Well all we make mistakes and normally this would be ok but not this time because for us the dinner was supposed to be special. No apologies only oops sorry. I really cant recommend...

Ich war am 14.09.2023 hier und hatte als Vorspeise Antipasto all’italiana und als Hauptspeise Saltimbocca alla romana.

Küche: Vorspeise: Ich meine mich zu erinnern, dass auf der Karte bei der Antipasti Käse mit drauf stand, aber ich habe keinen auf meinem Teller gefunden. Auch ansonsten fand ich es sehr unausgewogen. Zuviel Wurst, dafür nur ein Kleks Thunfisch, 2 Krümel Artischoken und 2 ganze Oliven. Das Brot war endlich mal in einer Schale, aber dazu gab es Grissini und Kekse in der Verpackung. Das Saltimbocca alla romana war ebenso unausgewogen. Fleisch, Schinken und Albei sollten eine harmonische Komposition ergeben, aber das Fleisch war teilweise zäh, der Schinken dominierend und der Salbei nur ab und zu da und dann aber gewaltig. Die Soße war einfach mit Wein ertränkt. Ärgerlich war, dass ich das Gericht tatsächlich ohne Beilage bekam. Ja, ich hatte keine bestellt, aber ich hätte mir gewünscht, dass der Service mich darauf anspricht.

Service: Ich weiß nicht, was ich dazu sagen soll, aber ich kam mir von Anfang an ungewollt vor. Man gab mir die Karte, ich bestellte, fertig. Kein Gespräch keine Beratung. Ich verstehe den Service als Berater zwischen der Küche und dem Gast. Hier absolute Fehlanzeige. Keine Konversation, keine Nachfragen, um den Gast zufrieden zu stellen ... nichts.

Ambiente: Das war der Grund warum ich dieses Restaurant überhaupt erwogen habe. Es hatte einen super Eindruck auf mich gemacht. Leider wurde es dem Eindruck...

Chaotic hyper waiter, quite funny, frankly ridiculous, of course he screwed up our order and dropped our empty plates and glass. It was quite the cacaphony of sound! The loud restaurant went silent and luckily he didn't hurt himself. This guy was so unconscious that he never realized the missing entree. When I showed him the bill, instead of an apology we received attitude. Honestly it felt good to get out of that place, cannot recommend. The food was...
