Ristorante Ghiaccio — Restaurant in Rome

This wasn't a great experience. The server was nice, but overly zealous. Brought us a bunch of appetizer dishes we didn't ask for or want, and recommended wine pairings that weren't good either (I think they were trying to get rid of the wines that were sitting too long on the shelf). When we did get a chance to order something (we shared a prawn gnocchi) it had a bad fishy taste. The appetizers were oily and the tiny octopus was sandy. Wish we liked it for the price we paid....

The prices are similar with the ones at the historic centre of Rome. Staff are polite but slow service. We were overcharged but let's assume it as human error but what was outrageous to me was the fact they offered us a bottle of water and bread and at the end we got charged for it....

Ristorante di pesce nei pressi di Piazza Mazzini Locale accogliente e curata Non si può dire altrettanto per il cibo e il servizio: capisco che si può avere difficoltà a reperire le materie prime nel mese di agosto..però proporre quasi tutto pesce congelato..va oltre ogni immaginazione. La grigliata di pesce era imbarazzante (tonno stoppaccioso,scampo spappolato)spaghetti con vongole freddi e senza sapore,gnocchetti con gamberi rossi sconditi e insipidi Buoni i dolci e i calamari scottati con cicoria e salsa di pomodorini gialli Nota a margine: hanno dimenticato di servire una grigliata di verdure che però non era presente sul conto finale,i vini che non sono momentaneamente disponibili andrebbero tolti dalla carta dei vini..non è possibile chiedere 3 vini diversi e sentirsi dire che non sono disponibili pur essendo...
