My wife and I had dinner here last Wednesday evening. Loved the waiter, but I ordered the carbonara and since I never had the "authentic" dish from Rome I wanted to try it. It came out with the small rigatoni but was not al dente but hard! Since we loved the venue and the waiter we decided to take our sons back the last night of our trip. My thinking was I can always tell the chef to cook the pasta more if I had it again. So the second night on Friday the service was slow, we can deal with that but I ordered lamb on a skewer. It was skimpy, and so tough I couldn't chew it, so I sent it back. The chef should have been ashamed to send this out. Since it was too late for me to order something else my son shared his pasta with me. Now my wife ordered a seafood plate. It was suppose to have shrimp, clams, squid... it was mostly all squid not my wife's favorite. To add to this the couple next to us left furious and let's just say I was equally angry. I eat out at least 100 times a year and I need to add was a chef "in my first life" before I changed careers.
