Food was exceptional. Would rate it 6 stars if I could due to a comprehensive menu with lots of options.
Most restaurants in Rome have had mostly pasta options. Not ideal if trying to work out and increase protein intake.
The veal shank here was so delicious. It was very tender, but at the same time not overcooked. There were portions (tendon) that were cooked perfectly and nicely gelatinous. And there was so much bone marrow too.
Man. Iāll definitely be back for more of that succulent Veal shank.
The carbonara and the meatball spaghetti were also the usual high standard of deliciousness in Rome.
I think the truffles carbonara was different, and my kid finished every last morsel.
Service was the usual non existent Italian service. Probably worse than usual cos the restaurant wasnāt busy and a few of the wait staff were just hanging around doing nothing (vs I can understand if the restaurant is super busy and all the wait staff are barely trying to keep up).
Thank goodness we got the menu asap. And then ordered asap before the crowd swamped the kitchen.
We had 4 entrees (including the ā¬16 veal shank) + a bottle of water. An our total...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt is a pleasure to leave these guys a review! My wife and I, and our 13 year old son stumbled across this little place by accident, but were welcomed by the Ukrainian waitress, she was so nice after being mobbed by other more aggressive waiters on the way through Piazza Navona area. We were tired, had done so much walking our feet hurt, but the service of cold drinks (and beer in a frosted glass) was really fast, then we ordered the Carbonara & Amitriciana which was all delicious. The lady literally couldn't do enough for us, and two days later, after trying os many other places, walking out of a few, we searched high and low for this place so we could go back. We couldn't remember exactly where it was, but when we got there, the waitress recognised us, and our same table was available again...the meal was even better as we felt part of their family, and recognised, which is all you want sometimes in a large city like Rome. If we ever go back to Rome, God willing, we will certainly 100% make a bee-line for this restaurant, thanks so much to the waitress, we really appreciated your hard work and smile! ps your family...

Well done to all who work here! We recommend strolling into this real Italian restaurant and you will feel really well looked after and relaxed.
After a meal on our first night in Rome, we returned mid week and on our last night to this beautiful restaurant. We were lucky enough to have the same outside table each time, magical in the warm Roman evenings. Hands this restaurant beats the other restaurants we tried directly outside the major nearby cultural sitesā¦. I was always taught to step one or two streets back from any major site when looking to dineā¦ā¦ to find the true heart of the city. And if you do you will find this beautiful restaurant and pleasant hard working staff within x
We will return and thank you for looking after...
