Del Giudice Roma — Local services in Rome

After doing some research on quality handmade leather goods shops, Del Guidice Roma came as my winner, so I went ahead and placed online order. I also did email them first for some questions and got a reply quickly, which made me push through with my order. I ordered:Large Hobo Bag Vittoria - Black/Taupe; Bag Irina 25 - Black/Taupe (personalized- intials); Women's Soft Wallet Suave L - Mud (personalized- initials); Credit Card Case 6 Slots - Taupe. It was delivered via FEDEX w/signature required and oh my gosh! the items were very beautiful! all came w/ each own dust bag (except card slot wallet which was in a box ready to be gifted & was placed in the paper bag of the wallet) and own paper bag! as if I just walked out of the actual store! normally when you order online, it will be boxed with dust bag, but theirs came in pristine condition paper bag of each item, the package was eloquently done that each paper bag is not even damaged or folded or creased and purses and wallets were soft as described in the website. No smell, very well made, soft texture. I happened to also bought a strathberry mosaic bag (regular size) for comparison which came a day or 2 before Del Giudice items. I then compared the leather of these two and Del Giudice wins! Just looking at the texture you will see the difference, then the touch, it made the strathberry bag looks low class. Yes strathberry came with a dustbag and their black box and looks stunning, don't get me wrong, it was really nice but it didnt get the wow factor from me , Del Giudice did wow me! For that price of strathberry (and other luxury brand) , i think they should copy Del Giudice,give me the paper bag too ! lol! I was so disappointed I didnt get to visit Del Giudice shop when I was in Rome last year (due to the severe heat we limited our outdoors), maybe they have more style in person. Nevertheless, I am very very well pleased with my online order and highly recommend this store. Dont hesitate to order online as you will get what exactly was described, I love most is the personalized order, I went with silver (after doing research, this is the best method) engraving. Lastly, I used my hobo bag in Montreal last week and it rained there everyday, so it got rained on but maintained the leather quality, so I'm really happy with that! My wife and I are from Northern California in the US, and first visited the Del Giudice store in central Rome during a summer trip in June/July of 2019. The products were beautifully crafted with exceptional quality however they did not have the exact color purse that my wife preferred. The lovely young lady in the store stated they can custom make any purse in any of their color combinations with a nominal fee and ship to anywhere in the world. In December of 2019 I contacted the company about the purse we saw (but was not on their website). Francesca Del Giudice responded immediately via email showing me a photo of the purse she thought we saw that day in Rome along with all of the options and pricing available. I ordered the purse as a Christmas surprise for my wife. The delivery was quick, the purse and options were exact to specifications and the quality was exceptional. Moreover, working with Francesca was flawless and seamless. So, much so, that we just recently purchased the exact same purse but in summer colors. I had researched designers prior to my trip to Italy and saw Del Giudice had a good reputation so I knew I’d be stopping by during my trip. I ordered the Brummel Zip at their storefront in a blue not offered online. The bag arrived to my place in Canada approximately two weeks after I ordered and the quality is fantastic. For what equates to around $500 CAD, the attention to detail is really unmatched and frankly is that of a $1000 bag. It’s great having a high end piece that isn’t riddled with logos and designs that take away from the quality of the bag itself. The only small issue I had was that I purposely waited until my trip to Italy to buy the bag because I wanted the VAT refund, but due to the bag having to be made for the colour I requested I was unable to get the refund. They tried to work around this buy reducing the shipping cost but since they shipped with DHL I had to pay ~$130 in duties upon its arrival.
