Lovely vineria with good wine selection in the heart of Pigneto. Unfortunately the customer service failed big time and the way the situation was handled was poor. I asked in italian for franciacorta and the waiter went to get the bottle. Of course I assumed it would be franciacorta because otherwise he should have said that they done not have it. He poured 2 glasses without showing the bottle or the label. I was a bit suspicious because the wine didn't seem to be franciacorta (lack of bigger bubbles) but I thought it was probably opened the day before. After a while I asked another member of staff for two more glasses of franciacorta and his reaction and confusion confirmed my suspicion about the drink. There was some hassle among the staff and the first waiter came to fill our glasses. Still not saying anything about the wine. I managed to read the name of the wine and after googling it was clear that the wine had nothing to do with franciacorta. When I went to pay, I told in italian that it was not franciacorta but spumante. The waiter started mumbling that it's dry like franciacorta. I said again that it is not franciacorta. No apologies or nothing, so I paid and left. There would have not been any problem if the staff had just said that they do not have franciacorta but instead some spumante that we might like. We would have ordered that anyway because it was a lovely Saturday eveningand we just wanted to sit down and enjoy. Unfortunately the ongoing buffoonery and acting like they were serving franciacorta and not even admitting the mistake just left a really bad taste in my mouth. So some constructive critisism; be transparent with clients, please. I don't know if this happened because I am clearly not an italian and do not speak it fluently. Overall: surely a quality vineria but has...
Read moreAbsolutely beautiful place. Both the decor and vibe of this little place were very nice. We drank three different wines based on recommendations from the owner and all of them were delicious. Speaking with the owner about the wines, their origin and their flavours was almost like we were on a wine tasting tour and it was great! The cheese platter was good too, I just would have liked maybe butter for the bread and even grapes but that's just how I like to eat it - others may love it how it is! Would definitely recommend going here! We...
