I found this Pasticceria whilst on the hunt for the best Cannoli in Salerno, look no further. This place is amazing with a rich history and passion - worth checking out their website beforehand. Parking might be a bit tricky as it's a main and popular road, but the display will impress you to make the effort.

You must meet Luigi. His service is exceptional to the point that he turned our visit into an extraordinary experience. He offered to walk us through each pastry in English, and from his descriptions, we knew exactly what to try. All 7 items we tasted were amazing - a real wow!

Don't miss their Passalacqua Mexican coffee; it's outstanding. Although the Cannolis were gone when we arrived, we indulged in Bigne Cioccolato, Panna Cotta, Delizia Limone, Rubino, Cassatina, Raspberry Macarons, and Meringues - each delightful in its own way.

Personally, I fell in love with the Delizia Limone. So, do yourself a favour and try everything you can here. Luigi's hospitality and the mouthwatering treats make it an unforgettable experience.

Just beyond Salerno’s station, Romolo has been a neighbourhood reference point since 1967. Family-run and modernised in 2019, it offers sfogliatella, babà, cassata and seasonal displays (note the giant chocolate Easter eggs). Ingredients speak of place: Nocciola di Giffoni IGP, Amalfi lemon cream, ricotta semolina fillings. Pasticceria Romolo Dolci tutti squisiti e di qualità... purtroppo da cliente storico, che da oltre 20 anni frequento questa storica pasticceria, scrivo un episodio poco felice avvenuto oggi. La signora Camen ha avuto un comportamento poco carino nei confronti del suo personale, alla presenza dei clienti, probabilmente presa dal tanto lavoro di questi giorni di festa. Alle ore 13 circa, Io e mia moglie gravida, con un bambino di 17 mesi, come tappa consueta che facciamo da 20 anni, abbiamo deciso di consumare un aperitivo in questa pasticceria. La saletta era piena di clienti, non c'erano tavoli disponibili, se non due tavoli liberi con una sola sedia disponibile. Avevo chiesto ad un giovane cameriere , che gestiva la saletta, se mia moglie gravida, stanca dal cammino fatto, poteva sedersi con il bambino a quel tavolo libero anche se c'era sola una sedia disponibile e di ordinare delle consumazioni, anche se io restavo in piedi. Il giovane aveva acconsentito, era dispiaciuto che non c'erano altre sedie disponibili in quanto non avevamo prenotato il tavolo. Ad un certo punto la signora Carmen, dietro al bancone della caffetteria, alla presenza dei clienti, si rivolge al giovane cameriere con tono alto esclamando: "DEVI DIRE A QUELLA SIGNORA CHE SI DEVE ALZARE DALLA SEDIA PERCHÉ NON HA PRENOTATO IL TAVOLO". Il giovane cameriere, mortificato, non aveva il coraggio di far alzare dalla sedia mia moglie gravida, con un bambino di 17 mesi. Nuovamente la signora Carmen al cameriere: ALLORA SEI OTTUSO! DEVI DIRE ALLA SIGNORA CHE DEVE ALZARSI DALLA SEDIA PERCHÈ NON HA PRENOTATO IL TAVOLO. Assistito a questo spiacevole episodio , senza dire nulla , lasciamo la pasticceria senza procedere con l'ordinazione. Mia moglie gravida è rimasta molto male a questo episodio. Il signor Romolo e la moglie sono stati sempre gentili nei nostri confronti e dei clienti. Mia moglie è rimasta mortificata e probabilmente dopo 20 anni non metteremo più piede in questa...
