PLEASE DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME. My family and I stayed at Mareluna Penthouse which included breakfast at Gran Caffe Canasta. Every morning your offered 3 items..coffee or cappuccino, orange juice and one croissant. The overall attitude of staff is horrible aside from one nice guy who was always helpful.

To give you some perspective...these are the reasons why:

Our orange juice never came although asked for it several times. Were 5 people and our croissants were given on two plates...forget about getting more. Nasty facial expressions and attitude Dirty tables

Our first time here (not during breakfast) we came in to have drinks only. The waiter standing outside welcomed us in although we mentioned we just had dinner. Two other male waiters starting setting up our table with cutlery and I kindly mentioned we were only here for drinks. He actually got angry and aggressively took back the cutlery and huffed and puffed as if this was an issue...served us with attitude for the rest of our time, threw our bill on the table immediately and waited for us to pay before we can even enjoy our drinks.

When you’re on vacation you’re looking to have a nice time and enjoy yourself so please take your hard-earned money and precious time elsewhere.

I only give this a one star because the crossiannt, cappuccino and orange juice(when we did get it)...

I am going to be very honest in this review. I don't usually ever give such low reviews, but this is needed. We were greeted by a fairly decent waiter who was okay in serving us, but still didn't feel like I've felt I alot of my stays in resturants in Italy so far, in fact it's the worst Unfortuantley. As for food... I'm so sorry to say but I got a mushroom Taghletteli and I make it better at home. It was water with mushrooms, I grew up eating Italian food and I make alot if italian dishes using italian recipies and this was just pure water, shop bought Taghletteli and mushrooms. As for the seafood medley my husband got, well he's now got food poisoning and we travel back home to the UK tomorow. I can't really say many good things, we didn't try a dessert or stay for much more becuase we already could tell this isn't an authentic Italian resturant. If I was you I'd go next door to medegra for some good food. It was not worth 40 euros I could've made something alot better for 5 pounds at home. I come to Italy for true Italian food, this wasn't giving...

Don't come here for food. They have a large dinner menu but the 3 items I ordered were all bad. But the reason for the 2 stars is because of the terrible wait staff. I haven't had such terrible service in years. The hostess is nice, and tries to help, but in the end, the waiter is just inattentive. I'm referring to the chubby waiter, not the skinny but. The skinny one is helpful, but the fat one is terrible. Bread but no olive oil or butter. Steak but no knife. Didn't even ask how I wanted my steak. I asked for pepper but never delivered. I've had an empty drink for the last half hour, not that I'd order another after my mood is sour due to poor service and bad food. 10 minutes and counting, waiting for the bill. This place was a mistake for dinner. Might be nice if you want just drinks though. The atmosphere is classy. The drinks are reasonably priced. Looooots of...

Right across from the tourist harbor Porto Turistico Masuccio Salernitano you will find the restaurant Gran Caffè Canasta. Here they eat very well, and the staff, despite the late hours, are very friendly. I ate the Diavola pizza and my wife the Tagliatelle pasta with porcini mushrooms. Very tasty, pizza with very tasty homemade sauce, a lot of cheese and the homemade pasta, they are extraordinary! Congratulations to the kitchen and service staff!

I bought 4 pastries from Gran Caffè Canasta (2 of each kind) and was charged €8 without being given a receipt. When I got home, I find a dead baby cockroach on one of the pastries (the one in the middle of the photo). The other pastries looked fine, but this experience ruined everything. For the price they charge, I expected better quality control and basic cleanliness. I hope the management takes action to address this issue.

I've had Aperol all over Italy. This was the first time I've seen such a sloppy service. There was nothing to go with it. If you're going to come here and drink something, think twice. Also, when we went to pay at the register, we were told we couldn't pay separately in cash; we could only pay by card. It's truly 2025. Improve your communication with customers. I don't recommend it, especially to tourists.
