Prior the food arriving we received tasty bread, potato chips, and cheese puffs as 'appetizers.' Everything tasted fine, the service was prompt, and we were attended to no differently than the locals. My wife and I had dinner on a Sunday evening when the square was incredibly busy. I came to the square past many people eating gelato, and was very amused to see two gelaterias, each proclaiming to be the best in the world. There was a long, slow moving lineup at Dondoli, the competition, and after considering that one, decided not to be a sheep and came to this one, where I had quick, friendly service and the most delicious gelato. I haven't tried gelato in the whole world yet, so can't say whether it's the best in the world, but it is some of the best I have ever tasted!
