Lovely, lovely, lovely experience with great food, fresh ingredients, and amazing flavors.
In a city so focused on meat, itâs wonderful to find a place that offers an excellent experience with vegetables and fish.
The seafood risotto with broccoli and lemon is splendid: unlike many risottos, the seafood is finely chopped and blends perfectly with the rice. The lemon brings out all the flavors, unexpected and absolutely delicious. I also appreciated that it was cooked al dente.
However, the tagliolini with black cabbage pesto and calamari was my favorite dish overall. The black cabbage pesto was delicate yet full of flavor. I canât properly describe it, you just need to try it.
Both the turbot and the croaker were amazing as second courses. Apart from the side vegetables (all excellent), the fish was cooked to perfection: not dry, not overcooked, just right.
We also loved the complimentary starters, a collection of small appetizers bursting with flavor, and the homemade bread (served warm) with salted butter.
The staff was fantastic: kind, knowledgeable, and happy to share details about each dish, which is always a plus when you want to truly enjoy your meal. The location is also great, near the center but away from the crowds.
Overall, a solid 5/5 experience that I...
Read moreI have dined at over 100 Michelin star restaurants and this is up there with one of the best restaurants I have dined at. We chose the 4-course tasting menu, which seemed like a popular option among other guests. First we got small bites, which were packed with flavor and came in a fun presentation. Next the bread. Oh I could talk about the bread all day. It was warm, fluffy, crunchy and the accompanying butter was delicious. The 4 courses themselves were also a delight, I especially loved the white fish course which was cooked beautifully. The risotto was also packed with flavor, generous portion and an overall delight. There was also a pre-dessert, which was a nice touch. My partner enjoyed the wine pairing which came with 4 white wines starting off with a sparkling wine and ending with a delightful fruity dessert overall. Overall, this was our favorite restaurant during our 1 week...
Read moreHidden in a corner very close to the center of Siena, this restaurant has great potential. I went here with family for dinner and we were greeted by the chef directly who was very nice and patient and waited for us to find a parking spot, which unfortunately is an issue. Service is good, with servers being very kind and explaining dishes as they are brought to the table. The cuisine is clearly influenced by far-eastern ingredients and techniques, but this improves the final result. We tried the 4-course tasting menu and I'd definitely recommend the lightly smoked salmon and the dessert, they were perfectly prepared and originally paired. Price is on the low-end for the quality of food and the type of restaurant, you can expect to spend 50-60⏠per person for a full meal, in any case a menu with prices is available on...
