I am not typically one to write google reviews but QUI Sorrento needs to be talked about. Iâve had the privilege to dine at many Michelin Star restaurants but our dinner here was hands down the best meal we have ever had. QUI Sorrento will definitely be a Michelin Star Resturant soon!
The quality of everything was superior even their drinks were next level. The service is impeccable and everyone was warm and welcoming, ready to give recommendations and ensure the experience was perfect from start to end.
You need to try the QUI tâannammur - itâs 6 appetizers selected by the chef but they go above and beyond to make sure it meets any dietary restrictions or preferences. We initially thought it was 30 euros each person because the amount of food was very generous and so beautifully prepared but it was only 30 euros for both of us!!!!
We followed this with the Tagliatelle al pomodoro del Vesuvio and Risone di semola ai gamberi - my husband is Italian and has lived in italy so we are used to homemade pasta and quality food but there is nothing like QUI. The tomatoes in the sauce were so flavourful and the pasta cooked to perfection. The Risone was my favourite dish Iâve ever had - all of the flavours paired perfectly together and the raspberry elevated it even further.
We then shared the octopus dish which was crispy on the outside and cooked to perfection on the inside. The pickled cucumber and onion along with the sauces blew us away.
For dessert I took the lemon cake which you NEED to try and I wouldnât plan to share it because itâs so good youâll want to eat it all yourself! My husband took the chocolate mouse with the olive oil ice cream - again everything paired so perfectly together and was just delicious. They also give their homemade limoncello with dessert which is phenomenal.
Everything was amazing and the price in comparison to the quality and quantity of food is amazing! Thank you so much for being the highlight of our trip and a Resturant we will visit every...
Read moreHighly, highly overrated food that ultimately resulted in food poisoning. Honestly we must have pitched in on an off night because all the other reviews of this place are stellar, and in fact we cancelled our reservation at Buca in order to try this place out.
To be fair, their menu appears to change a lot so what I write may not apply at all. However, in just documenting my experience, you have the option of doing an appetizer sampler- which is an opportunity to try all of their apps in a downsized manner. Iâd probably recommend this. While the fried squash blossom was quite nice, the fried cod, and mackerel were both very bland and quite dry. The shrimp was totally forgettable and the offering of a piece of blue cheese encircled by white chocolate with a berry compote on top was just weird and not all appetizing (thereâs being creative, and then thereâs trying to mix flavours together that just donât fit). The truffle tagliatelle had a very generous topping of truffles but the pasta was shockingly overcooked and underseasoned- what a way to ruin an otherwise spectacular dish. The octopus portioning was a bit too large, particularly for it to be recommended on top of what we already ordered, and was very flavourful but overcooked to the point of near-mushiness. Finally, the culprit for the the food poisoning that only I had, must have been the mussels in my tortellini, which again- was surprisingly bland, with a broth that also did not impart very much flavour beyond what youâd expect from mussel liquor.
The service was great- friendly, quick, and accommodating. I really wanted to love this place but not only did it hit me with debilitating food poisoning symptoms that lasted 24h, it was an altogether disappointing but expensive dining experience. Should have just...

Qui achieves what some Michelin restaurants cannot. It gives you delicate, elegant, perfectly executed dishes at a price that makes it accesible. Gianpiero, the chef, is truly a master at his craft. He is an artist and food is his form of expression.
We tried the starter that includes 6 dishes (per person) of the chefs choice. What an amazing experience. Among them are the steak tartar, their take on a fried zucchini flower, and a sautÊed squid. For the main dishes we had the tagliatelle with truffle, the octopus, and the ravioli. The pasta⌠the pasta is just extraordinary. The restaurant serves tiny dishes between plates that are meant to cleanse your palate, and let me just tell you.. some of these dishes are stars on their own.
Gianpieroâs olive oil gelato was the best gelato we had during our 16 day Italy trip. I could eat that ice cream every day.
And last but not least.. their lemon cake. The real question is, how can a dessert be so perfect?
Qui, you...
